This is a really poor take. Dallas is a very strong team. They looked bad because the oilers MADE them look bad.
Why try to diminish the oiler's accomplishment?
Yeah naw. Dallas was legit. Remember they beat the avalanche and jets to get to the oilers. Both of those teams were legit too. The oilers are playing their best hockey at the right time. I also think that 7 game war they played against the avs hurt them. They never looked as fast after that series.
Impediment
The only reason they made it to the 3rd round was because Rantanen was playing with a grudge that carried over to the next round before it fizzled out. I'm thankful to him because Dallas was wayyyy easier to beat than the Avs would have been. Thanks to his grudge we get to go to the finals fairly rested.
WTF?? As a Oilers fan i do not approve of this dudes delusional take!! Ya the Stars are a fraud ,final 4 team just a fraud that got through the Avs and Jets lol. Stars are a great team but this year they went up against a team that was better . Also saying a team only got to where they are because of a certain player LOOOOL. Can you not say that about any of the teams in the nhl ,hell in any sport??
