Supercross Round #17 450SX Highlights | Salt Lake City, UT Rice-Eccles Stadium | May 10, 2025

450 highlights from the season finale in Salt Lake City with the championship up for grabs. The head-to-head fight. Chase Sexton Cooper Web. The buildup was pretty cool. Quite immense. But at the drop of the gate, who was there? Well, Webb was ahead of Ston, but Plesinger was ahead of them all. Yeah, Aaron Pleser rode great. that that heat race. He was out front, was able to hold off Malcolm Stewart, but Cooper Webb just looked like a different rider in this main event than he did in in the heat race riding better and was able to uh get around Aaron Pleser here through the whoop section. Nice run through her, get up the inside of him and at that point he was out front and then it was uh Chase Sex’s turn to try to get around him. Well, it was I mean I love the aggression that the two of Cooper Webb had early on. a lot of intensity, but then the four of chase Texas is going to get by his teammate. Actually, Aaron made a mistake in that rhythm lane, but the four gobbled up that lead, that little lead that Cooper Web had, and I was interested to see what was going to happen. Um, he checks up here a little bit. Chase does. Uh, Cooper’s He’s too smart to let anything like that uh anything crazy go down. Yeah, you just kind of knew at this point Chase got a couple gaps and and then it was uh Justin Cooper had a battle going on for third and points with my brother was riding good all day long. Riding better than he did in the heat race. He’s able to get around Shane Aar for who had a really good start. Oh, he he opening laps. Yeah. Until right here. Just looks like what is he initiates the turn. Oh, he gets a little sideways when he lands. You see that twitch was able to start his foot off. That’s right. and he goes off and then Malcolm Stewart wanted to get up into action here. This is for third place. Look like Justin Cooper is getting hung up behind Cooper Web. Malcolm goes in unlike his teammate RJ gives him a room. Let Justin know. I think Justin probably kind of sensed that and then after Cooper and and there was nothing on the line there for Justin as far as if he lost the position to Malcolm. So great heads up ride. Malcolm’s going to make a really nice pass to get by Cooper up the inside. No contact there. But then Justin Cooper starts to insert himself back into the party. And this was a this is a fun battle. I got to say, the last four weeks, the battle between Malcolm and Justin has been a lot of fun. A battle within the battle for the championship. And these guys have been riding incredible all season uh long. So after this, it was uh all a formality. Crowd loved seeing that charge from Malcolm Stewart. But way out in front, it was Chase Ston who clinched his seventh win on the season. You talking about way out front. Way left out front. Yeah. And then fourth place was good enough to become the champ for the now three-time champ for Cooper Web. The family and team celebration. And another moving scene too was when his teammates and competitors congratulated him post race. It was an honest hard-fought fight that ended in Cooper Web clinching the 450 title. It was a Ston Stewart Cooper podium, but the headline this man here, Cooper Web. I mean, the most impressive thing was him picking up that trophy one-handed. That thing that I can tell you, hey, that thing ain’t light. Yeah, there’s his mom and dad. Happy Mother’s Day present right there. Yeah, Bobby and Trent. Seen them around a long time. Look at Brian Degan giving him some kudos. Wow. Hey, Savachi top five. Mrath ninth re recovering from that. There was a good scrap going on too and for championship points between Justin Hill and Dylan Ferandis and when Mathra fell and put him put himself back there as well. Uh there was some good scraps going on that were not on the podium but just a little deeper in the field. Yeah, look at Dean Wilson. Seventh place right there for Honda. That was a great ride by him. Grandpa Earl held it down out there with a bad back and he was banged up. He told me after qualifying practice he had hurt his back early on. He was in some serious pain. Heck of a ride. There’s Chis. Yep. Yep. Top 15 for Kyle Chisum out there. Road good. I’m sure it was an emotional night for him. Oh yeah. Miss you out here full time. Chis, but great. 450 standings, Lee. Look at there. Yeah. Two the difference. Two points the difference between Web and Ston in the end. We told you about Justin Cooper’s climb up into third with Ken Roxson being sidelined these past two and Malcolm Stewart fourth at the end. Notables. Dylan Fernandez, seventh in the championship. Big, right? Justin Hill, another privateeer. And Shane Math again on that quadlock Honda. That’s very respectable. Sure is. [Music]

  1. Yes , happy to see cooper Webb win his 3rd championship 🏆, now it's chase sexton turn he is a great rider, like chase said the best rider, no doubt, but I like coopers regular guy style,

  2. Vialle did not deserve to win. He was NOT the fastest second fastest third fastest or even 4th and didnt fight for it but settled. He just got a gift from RJ. Who rode like he wanted it , seth too! Rj got a raw deal in his heat race with that tuffblock and wire that sent him to the LCQ bad gate pick and bad start on the main.

  3. Sexton had this championship early on but he made to many mistakes and those cost him this championship
Webb capitalize on it and now he is the
2025 SX champ congrats to him and his whole family and racing team members

  4. i miss the Lawrence bros rn, Chase was fast but without Jett he's not even pushing… Congrats to him but most of all congrats to Justin Cooper for his season, i repeat but 450's way better for him ! nothing to say about Webb except he's always at the top every years, not surprise, third time champ's deserved

  5. Webb and sexton really made this season special in the 450 class for the entire season webbs a beast n chase will have his time to earn more championships Webb the 3 time champ tho legend definitely hall of fame career no doubt he got more titles then Tomac
