The Carolina Hurricanes have been one of the NHL’s best franchises for quite some time, however their experience past the second round of the playoffs is not something to brag about. Right now the Canes are down 2-0 to the Florida Panthers after dropping their first two home games of the Eastern Conference Finals and with that they are now 0-14 in their last 14 ECF games. With what might be the teams 4th consecutive sweep in the Conference finals, let’s break down and analyze what is holding the Canes back and whether or not this team has a chance to come back in this one. This is why the NHL needs to mix the entire playoff brackets every year. The east as a whole is just a joke. There is MAYBE 2 good teams at best. I think its a mix of the Canes style matches up really poorly against the Panthers and great against the Caps, they are collapsing at any point of adversity in this series, and Florida is just really good in playoff hockey. I genuinely believe if Toronto won their round we'd have a pretty competitive series between canes and Toronto. Unfortunately, that is not reality and here we are.

Curious how people will feel if Dallas loses their next two games in convincing fashion. They are unbelievably loaded, significantly more than the canes, and have lost in the ECF 3 times and the finals once in nearly the same amount of time. Obviously not in as embarrassing fashion and they made it to a cup, but chances have been there for them and they have not won much. I just think the way the canes have lost is borderline impressive at this point lol.
