No long term big money contracts to players pushing 30.
We need a 2C so adding a winger doesn't make any sense right now and although I would love to have Tage Thompson, he's extremely injury prone. If we wanna go far in the playoffs next year we need to get bigger and stronger while still having skill and goal scoring touch. I wouldn't be willing to move off Mailloux and other prospects unless we can get a player that is an upgrade who is 20-27

Why are all the Habs shows talking about wings suddenly? What happened to the "we need a second line center" thing? Howcome we are not talking about centers anymore? Did we somehow find a solution without telling anyone? If not, who are the centers we can dream about (not Tage Thompson)? This is frustrating to watch.

There’s no need to rush the process. Rebuilding from within will strengthen the team for many years. Yes we need a #2 center and some size upfront, but not worth giving up too early on our promising young prospect pool. Packaging draft picks and a prospect to move up in this or next years draft or signing a good fit free agent is fine but don’t undersell what we already have. Patience Everyone, better days are ahead.
