Tomas Hertl is believed to have injured Calvin Pickard on this play. To me this was avoidable contact and it should have earned a 2 minute penalty for goaltender interference.
I disagree. First, the other angle clearly shows the defender elbowing/hip bumping after Hertl passed him, which changed the trajectory of Hertl's path. The contact of the skates happened outside the blue paint and it was the fringe of the red line at worst, but if you look at Hertl skates, it's clear his skate is on the white area outside of the crease, and Pickard's skate makes contact when he moves his leg into the spot where Hertl skate is. I don't think it's fair to expect the opposing player to move if they aren't inside the actual crease.
It’s a tough call, that’s why I think it went no call. Kulak had some to do with it, so did Hertl. Unfortunate Pickard was hurt on the play. Could have easily been 2 minutes though.
Hertl is a rat, he isn't man enough to skate forwards and crash the net like other players. He intentionally skates backwards towards Pickard, knowing that he'll eventually make contact and "accidentally" fall into Pickard.
Oilers get a penalty for literally getting checked into goalie, get a penalty for being outside the blue paint and hill sticking his head out to guarantee a penalty…. But as usual nope nothing called on anyone else. Man im getting so sick of these American refs, they are blatantly biased as hell.

Yep, it is goaltender interference, but unlike Florida targeting Leaf 'tenders I see no intent in this sequence.
Can;t argue with your point. Doesn't seem like intention to injure at all, but definitely interference.
accidentally on purpose
He has the same right to that ice
He’s out side the blue paint when the feet collide
I feel like you are reaching a lot. They collide outside of blue paint. No way it was intentional or trying to create contact with a goalie

Edmonton got a penalty for something like this last night

Pickard was hit a few times in game 2. If Hyman was called goalie interference in game 3, this should be called as well
Here come canadian nhl fans of shapes and favorite teams to cry about refs… it's a yearly tradition 😂😂😂
oh my gershness! their skates touched! Hertl injured his leg on purpose! and fell on it because he's a big meanie!
Pickard is soft to still be injured he is going to cost the oilers their playoff run.Skinner is beyond horrible
Goal tenders are delicate wimps
Hertl also throws himself over. That was intentional
