Philadelphia Flyers SIGN Pending RFA Tyson Foerster To Bridge Deal

Danny Briere has taken care of his first piece of offseason business, signing winger Tyson Foerster to a two-year, $3.75 AAV bridge contract. The Philadelphia Flyers’ only unsigned potential restricted free agents remaining are now Cam York, Noah Cates and Jakob Pelletier.

Charlie & Bill react to the Foerster signing, and how it impacts the Orange & Black’s roster building decisions moving forward.

  1. Wild fan here:
Bummer. I thought he might be in a package for Rossi. He's a good player and the kind of guy every team needs. Rossi's good, but I get that Philly doesn't want to trade a good asset for a guy whose camp is going to drive a hard bargain. The models say Rossi is worth $7.4 million long term, but it's hard to say if he'll be pushed around in the playoffs or not. He had two goals in the bottom 6, but who knows going forward.

  2. Nice! I believe Tyson still has another level to go. I think he'll be playing with more confidence after playing in the international tournament well. As much as like his line with Cates and Brink, I'd like to see him on a line with more skill.
