Who’s Better? Shane Wright vs Connor Bedard (Prospect Edition)

In the 6th episode in my “Who’s Better?” series we take a look at two of the most hyped up prospects in the hockey world. This is Shane Wright, the likely 1st overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft and Connor Bedard, the likely 1st overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. These guys are both surely going to be studs in the NHL but still each have at least a year of junior hockey to continue lighting the hockey world on fire.

  1. I don't really care who's better. What i care about is getting both in Montreal it's our turn. They both amazing we'll figure this out later. For 25 years i've been sitting in front of my TV hopping my team will manage to score goals…

I'm tired of getting 82 games of nightmare, losing sleep over the ranking and praying Jesus Price for miracles. I love Price but i don't want to see him. I want that camera to point the opposite side of the rink and stay there.😅

  2. Let’s cut the crap Bedard is likely going to rival McDavid for most dynamic and exciting player to watch in the NHL. Wright might be just as integral to his own team, but in all likelihood his game will not be overly comparable to the most dynamic players

  3. Hockey hype is different; these mfs are teenagers and are compared to all timers at 16 years old sometimes…the only thing I can compare this to is the LeBron James hype

  4. WRIGHT could definitely get more points just not selfish enough u want guys like him to win a cup making the right plays for the team – Jonathan Toews mix with Tavares

  5. Only thing that concerns me about Bedard is his size, I saw him in person this year and he is around 5'8. He has short parents and looks like he probably wont go past 5'9. As extremely talented he is. Cups are won with big centers.

  6. This is irrelevant, they are not in the same draft. So considerations made between the two don’t matter.

  7. Wright vs Bedard? LOL.. Speaking of Connor, Wright had a better year than Connor McDavid when he was 15 or 16. Seattle Kraken are going to be the "comeback team" going for their second cup. Stanley? Are you listening? We're ready for our second cup… Please don't "Bqstqn" it up and misspell Seattle. That's S-E-A-T-T-L-E

  8. You know, Wright's 5 points in 3 games with 3 goals looks impressive in the world juniors, but when you compare it to Bedard's 14 points in the same time frame, 5 points doesn't look at that impressive.

Fantilli doesn't look very good either. Not only is he not getting the points, he's made a number of bad passes, turnovers and icings the last 3 games. In fact, that's usually when I notice him – not when he is on offense. It's just a bit surprising seeing as people rank him just below Bedard on elite prospects.
