  1. run 7 D, Rantanen was getting double shifted earlier and looked like he was having a blast, tell that kid to go nuts while we ease his countryman back into playoff hockey.

  2. Mikko is effective because the rest of the team is really good.
The Stars were (undeniably) a top 5 team before he arrived, but we are very glad that he's a fit.

  3. Very excited to get #4 back. I'm tempering my expectations, tho. He's been out for nearly 4 months. 1st few games will be getting his legs and feel for the game.

    Go Stars 🌟

  4. You’re absolutely right about Harley. That guy has been clutch ever since Miro went down, and deserves that spot imo.

  5. I really thought they were going to run 7 d and double shift rantanen and Johnston (they've already been double shifting Miko) but it looks like they've got something else in mind.

  6. Hopefully the stars defense will now know how NOT to get counter-attacked when Bishel and Petro are on the bench.
Those 2 play a conservative defense, but not many goals scored when they are out there.

  7. They're going to be focusing more on Rantanen, which should give more space for everyone else.

  8. This is just ridiculous from Avalanche's perspective. Not only did they lose their superstar, but with 12M he is making the Stars one of the absolute TOP teams players want to play in, since players A) want to play in a contender B) appreciate that there is a superstar playoff performer in the team that is willing to play for A DISCOUNT. And yes, 12M might have been the market price before the playoffs, but now Mikko is a max cap value player. You could pay him the max cap and other players in his team would not mind.

  9. Miro looked pretty good last night. Limited minutes, of course, but he was solid on defense AND picked up an assist. Not a bad return.
