ALWAYS TAKE PBA, the flyers always draft for need and 95% of the time they never pick the best player, passed on so many good players in the past too by not taking PBA. If you take PBA your team will become better!!!
Now they've started talking trading for Marco Rossi again to get their badly-needed BIG, PHYSICAL, SPEEDY, SKILLED center. He's 5 ft 9, 175 lbs. Briere needs to stop constructing this team in his own image.
Wish we could have just stayed at 4 and gotten Frondell.
I can't wait for the draft to be over. I'm ready for these hypothetical talks to be done lol Martone will not fall… just not gonna happen. Frondell is the guy.
they should be thrilled to take Martone if he falls to them at 6. Absolutely thrilled! If they do something stupid and reach I'm giving up my lifelong Flyers obsession.
I think one of the problems with Charlies thinking is he is looking at it today instead of a year or 2 down the road when this prospect will be NHL ready. Not only that Frondel will end up being an NHL winger, is he better than Martone…. Not a chance. All that being said I think there is no way he falls to 6 unless we have a Becket Seneke off-board pick.

If he's the BPA you take him without a second thought. The only qualifier would be if you think he's redundant. The Flyers don't have a lot of 6'3, 207 lb guys in their system who can score 1.5 points per game, so he's not redundant. Still hoping against hope that Martone and Frondell go earlier than expected so the Flyers could have a chance at Hagens.
I've been preaching to grab Martone if he falls. Dude has hockey iq ans skill. I'd take him even is Hagens is still available.
My picks are Martone, Hagens if either available. If not, then Caleb. And getting Benjamin Kindel with a later draft pick.
So I think a very unlikely scenario but if Martone falls to six Flyers grab him. Could then maybe McQueen or Martin slip and Flyers trade up for one of them? I think McQueen is the more likely slip and the one more likely to stay at center, but just imagine in a few years two hulking figures like Martone and McQueen riding with Michkov! I suppose if Martin stays at center that could be him to but either way the Triple M Line! It’s just prints shirts and posters 😂
I hope they dont trade for Rossi tbh. A 1st line of Him, Tk and Mich would just get absolutely dunked on come playoff time.
