Catch Wrestling | The Crippler Toe Hold
catch wrestling style leg locks um everything that I’m kind of gonna go over comes from or inspired by What’s called the the crippler leg lock series [Music] um if anyone goes back to like the snake pit days um or old school the crippler was like one of their first like submission chains that they put together on the legs so we’re going to work some some stuff from there um addressing like a a common uh Jiu-Jitsu position which is like the knee Shield half card um Gap so so put me in like a a knee Shield all right this is our our half guard knee Shield so this is he’s using us as a frame to keep me at distance okay uh first one is literally staring at us right in the face we’re just going to do a quick like ripping Toe Hold so don’t rip your partner but live we’re going to grab this toe bring it across our chest and rip it like shoot it through okay out in our chest bring it to our chest and really rip it full body motion okay so we’re playing half guard bring his foot if we want to pressure his knee to elevate his foot a little bit grab full thumb grip right across his toes and squeeze and throttle that out okay throttle it and this hand shoots through and grabs your own wrist bring everything in tight tow holds don’t really work like this some guys will teach that putting it to the butt eventually that’ll go but bring everything in tight and use whole body okay that’s one here we’re pressuring playing grab the toes drive them here boom one if you want to get real fancy get it here drive this to the mat roll into the to you don’t have to do the rolling version if you want go ahead it’s fun here he’s keeping me at Bay pressure Elevate that foot a little bit bring it in scoop over everything to our chest look through the submission just like our takedowns we look through we don’t do this it’ll eventually work but we need to look all the way through okay for the rolling post the foot to the mat and roll over the inside shoulder here everything tight in cool any questions good you guys got it you guys got an all three partner sure cool we have Sean over there to help you cool he’s injured and then uh everyone got it
