I, myself, really want to know what’s going to happen with Quinn Hughes. I think it’s always been obvious that he wants to unite with his brothers, and possibly win a Cup together. The question is, is it now, or later? Unfortunately, with Fitzgerald steering the ship in Jersey, the entire Hughes thing might get wrecked. I mean, this is a guy who actually said, “I’m trying to figure out, what secondary scoring is. I’m banging my head against a wall, trying to figure it out..” Not exactly inspiring words from your GM..
As long as people keep going to the games and keep buying the merch it will be rinse and repeat for Aquaman, this is a business, not a hockey team trying to win a cup, no matter how many times Aquaman goes infront on the media and tells us he wants to bring a cup here, it's all lies.

So NVM signing some superstars off free agency. We can't even keep the ones we had. If you are an outsider looking at Vancouver, why would you want to sign here? It looks like a sinking Titanic and people are escaping on lifeboats.
I know this isn't a popular opinion, but if we don't get Bedard back for lossing Hughes in a 3 way trade, the Canucks are done. Bringing in a bunch of prospects from NJ? Yeah, welcome to Buffalo Sabres. You guys better finger cross that Bedard wants to play for the Canucks and stay long term. If not, prepare for a long long dark age of maybe a decade. Many fans don't understand how absolutely f*cked the Canucks are on the very edge of being.

So in Feb 1924 Petterson was well on his way to a plus 100 point season. Then he purportedly developed tendinitis in his knee. Production dropped off. In the off season he was advised to rest his knee and did not train hard and thus came to camp in poor shape. This displeased Miller and led to Miller leaving. Petterson never recovered his mojo and had a poor season. I have seen no reports on how his knee tendinitis is doing and no reporter has asked him. If it has healed and he comes back to a 100 point player then they should be fine next year with an improved defence and solid goaltending. This constant depressing comentary on the Canucks is getting tiresome.
No good players will come period only guys cant get a contract anywhere else unless its huge over pay by Baldy
Friedman was just stating the obvious. Money talks though. That being said, I don’t want another Loui Eriksson situation. Or Beagle. If free agents don’t want to come here, build from within. Draft and develop. Winning is the cure all. If Aquaman squabbled over 70 grand to Willander, I doubt he will want to pay Bennett 10 million to come here. I hope.

F off with the idea of selling the team dude! Anyone suggesting Aquilini selling either doesn't know capitalism or economics. That's such a ridiculous idea from either of those perspectives.
Canucks will be fine. They all wish Canucks fall on their faces. Not going to happen with Adam Foote. I hope club brings Foote"s son here as soon as possible. We will be much tougher side in the fall. It's not all about Hughes, 23 guys play win or loose.
