The Blackhawks NEED to stick the landing with this draft, let's break it down! Let me know down below, who do YOU think the Blackhawks should take with their top picks? And especially at 3rd overall, Frondell? Desnoyers? Martone? Someone else?

The Hawks taking James Hagens with the intention of making him assistant or possibly even captain makes a lot of sense. Taking Jonathan Toews 3rd overall ahead of Nick Backstrom and Phil Kessel led to 3 stanley cups. James Hagens will bring the depth and stability they need, leaving the 3rd checking line to Frank Nazar. Good luck Hawks this is going to be a fun draft day.🐣
Chicago gets more top 3 picks in a 3-year span than the Red Wings have gotten since the lottery has existed. Fun sport to watch, but the lottery and Gary Bettman have turned this league into a joke.
I'd accually give consideration to Jake O'brien at 3 but maybe it's just me.

Apparently there is some chatter that Chicago likes Frondell (saw this in TacTix's mock draft video).
The last time the Hawks picked 3rd , the commentators said the same thing "the draft starts here. The draft starts with this pick" lol. Then …..they draft Kirby Dach . Now , it didn't seem like a bad pick , until you realize they probably would have drafted Matt Boldy had they not "won" the lottery . Sometimes it's better to draft later and take best player instead of trying to read into the tea leaves 😉
Frondell goes 3
Here’s an idea I had, the Isles trade down TWICE, recoup some assets and get Hagens at 3. Could look something like:
First trade:
To SJS: 1st overall
To NYI: 2nd overall, Cagnoni, maybe DAL 1st
Second trade:
To CHI: 2nd overall
To NYI: 3rd overall, Korchinski
Maybe some sweeteners here and there for all teams involved.
Sharks take Schaefer, Hawks take Misa, Isles take Hagens, everybody gets their guy. Probably wouldn’t happen in a million years, but if you see this Grav I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Everyone is dismissing a guy they already have. Nick Lardis had 70 goals in junior last season.
