Näittekö minkä kullin kaveri iskee!?
yeah this is one of the most famous historical moments in all of finnish sports history not necessarily the hardest to accomplish, but the reactions, memes and even songs that came after were just something magical at the time in finland
It wasn't just the goal, it was also stealing the puck from the russian defender to get possession, going past another one and THEN scoring the beauty. 💪
They made even postage stamp of this.
Granlund himself wasn't exactly thrilled from the attention he got for that goal. Even a postage stamp was made of him. Obviously his little brother had to do the same: "Blues-HIFK 17.11.2011 – Markus Granlundin ilmaveivi".
Yea. We call it "ilmaveivi"
Not even gonna mention the postage stamp?
