My top 5 picks for the Bs are Caleb, Frondell, Martone, Obrien, McQueen

Don't use the seventh pick to draft a player by the name of "Off The Board," Don. 😏
I would take McQueen every time over O’Brien. O’Brien is thin and won’t get away with all those fancy stick work in the nhl. Take McQueen and roll the dice
McQueen was in running for top 3 before injury . We all know barzal was same way and he panned out well
Caleb’s the best option I hope he’s still there or a team is interested in someone later in the draft and wouldn’t be against a trade for us, I think Caleb has a chance to be the best player in the draft.
Why do all “experts” want the Bruins to take on projects? Are you trying to get Sweeney fired? Too late! He just got extended. He makes NO sense for the Bruins. You might find it fascinating. Fascination doesn’t fix franchises. Besides, we already drafted a “project.” This isn’t a Play Station draft.
They can't afford to take the risk on McQueen. Eklund or O'Brien would be my choice, unless one of the top 6 slides.
I would take Eklund's motor over McQueen's back.

I don’t care who they pick, but don’t draft a big kid with back issues. There is good chance a best player available will be there at the seventh pick. Then everyone can Rag all over the player and draft.
Who will the Bruins draft? Easy, the player most unlikely to make any significant impact at the NHL level.
Realistically its between Obrien, Desnoyers and McQueen. Im not a doctor and havnt seen McQueens medical report. A fractured vertebrae, collapsed, bulged, herniated disc, torn muscle or nerve damage are all very different things. If its a clear bill of health from the Bruins doctors then im actually fine with any of those 3 and prefer them all to Hagens, Frondell and Martone with Desnoyers being my preference.

The reality of the situation is that no matter who Don Sweeney takes in the first round odds say that player is not likely going to be someone that helps Boston probably ever

At the top down level Don Sweneey has been GM for 10 NHL Drafts and he has made a total of 58 Draft Picks. Of those 58 draft picks ONLY TWO forwards he’s ever drafted have shown any level of offensive skill
Jake Debrusk: A middle-six, sometimes Top 6 producing forward that averaged 40ish points a year. Sweeney brilliantly let him walk for nothing as a UFA so he could sign the shitty Elias Lindholm to one of the worst contracts in the NHL
Matt Poitras: A small, weak, middle-six wing at his ceiling that will never be a high end, points producing center in the NHL. Probably a 40-50- point a year player at his ceiling
That’s it. 10 years of drafting and the haul in terms of offensive forwards has been Debrusk & Poitras. Bill Belichick has a basically the same shitty draft record in terms of drafting wide receiver talent as Sweeney does drafting forward talent
And CAN WE STOP WITH THE BIG LIE, that Don Sweeney only drafts 32nd every year Sweeney Apologists and Bruins Homers who love making excuses for him

15th Senyshyn: Bust
18th Vaakaninan: Bust in ANA & in BOS
21st Lysell: Worth nothing on the trade market. Headed towards bust & at best is an underperforming guy who hasn't done much
25th Letorneau: The Bruins desperately need help sooner rather than later and Sweeney took a 5 year project that looked terrible at BC this past season
29th Frederic A low talent fake tough guy. Useless in the postseason. Now gone
30th John Beecher: Garbage
Those are DREADFUL First Round Draft results by any measure
Well, at least Sweeney has been better in the draft's late rounds right. Um, nope as no GM in the NHL has drafted worse at Forward or Defense than Sweeney has in rounds 3-7 of the NHL Draft these past 10 years and it's not even a close race
10 years / 37, 3rd-7th round Forward and or Defense Draft Picks. Of the 37 3rd-7th Round Draft Picks:
-Only 4 have played an NHL game
-Only 1 has played more than 60
-Only 1 plays in the NHL today

McQueen would be a HUGE mistake. Typical Bruins.
I'll be happy as long as Sweeney sticks to the script, picks the best available player, and doesn't "reach" for some guy that belongs in the later picks in the first round or (gasp) the second or third rounds. They've done that in the past and it has been a disaster. He clearly should avoid someone like McQueen with a serious injury history. Sweeney can't afford to screw up this year's picks like in 2015!
