  1. For people who didn't want Darche – who do you want? They tell us who's not good w/o offering who is the right choice. The team was injury riddled this season, I believe (top 3, top 5?) and Roy kept them in the hunt almost all season – that's not easy to do, shuffling a line up with in and out players while maintaining a winning environment. If you fire Roy, who is taking over? Who are the candidates? And you're right, who is this team before you start make these depth decisions?

  2. The Isles lost 240+ game starts to injuries this year. That doesn't include Varly missing about 20 starts. Throw in the fact that Roy got stuck with the WORST special team coaches in the league because they were Lou's old friends, and a couple of useless players, and he did a GREAT job. The guy deserves another year with HIS coaching staff and a GM trying to give him the roster he wants.

  3. We all remember the "This is the team Lou gave me" comment clearly indicating that Patrick and Lou were not on the same page. Did Roy have input in the GM hiring decision? I think its a distinct possibility. If he's got 3 years remaining on his contract wouldn't it make sense for ownership to hire a GM who is in sync with Roy's philosophy so they wouldn't have to eat the contract? Also, the fact that LL was the ONLY one fired tells me ownership put more of the blame for last season on Lou than Roy. If I had to guess, I'd say he's staying. He deserves a shot to coach a team with the players who can play his style.

  4. Was there a press conference? I would think that a lot of the questions we all have could be addressed in a presser.. No?

  5. Unless he already has a coach in mind, Roy will be back. GM gets his feet under him for a year and figures out what to do with this current roster and most likely takes Schaefer. I can see Barzal, Lee and Dobson going to reshape this roster

  6. Will he make the decession to give the farm squad some of their bridgeport identity back? Their fan base has gone down hill since the rebranding. Granted they haven't had a winning season in a while and this past season didn't help. But bridgeport is not on the island but rather the Sound. Sound tigers fit more with the area.
