This keeps getting CRAZIER… Friedman drops INTERESTING update | Boston Bruins News
This keeps getting crazier for the Boston Bruins as another report has come out about the Montreal Canadiens engaging in a trade with the Boston Bruins. This time for Nikita Zadorov. We’re going to be breaking down this trade from the inside out and going over why this is a very interesting look ahead of the season. We’re also going to be breaking down a very interesting quote here from Elliot Freeman on the coaching search across the NHL and how this can narrow down on a very popular subject for the Boston Bruins. We have a lot to break down here today, folks. Very quickly before we jump into this video, if you haven’t already, be sure to hit the sub button. We’re on the road to 7K and we know that just over 70% of you guys watching right now are not subscribed to the channel. If you’re looking for a spot for all of your Boston Bruins news, you’re in the right spot. Hit the sub button. Join me here on the channel. We have a lot to cover with so many expected moves for the Bruins going to be happening here in this offseason. I’ll have it all for you as it happens. But we need to jump into this because we have a lot to cover today. We’re going to start this one off here with our first screenshot going over the trade which features Nikita Zadorov going to the Montreal Canadians. Now, the only part of this was Nikita Zadorov. So, I only have what the Bruins acquired because the way that this mock trade was or not mock trade, this kind of report was gone over was a really weird shape. So, the Montreal Canadians send over Owen Beck two seconds and a third round pick for Nikita Zidorov. Now, it’s no surprise that the Montreal Canadians have been trying to get bigger. Now, that’s been something that the Bruins have been able to see front end, being able to see the rebuild that they’ve been going on for, as well as being able to, you know, combat that team with bigger players and we’ve dominated them when we’ve had those bigger players every single time. So, going acquiring Nikita Zoro, someone that a lot of Bruins fans are really uncertain with what his future holds, the way his game is structured, what’s gonna happen with them. I think that’s a lot of people are thinking and the Montreal Canadians in this case seem to be looking at a guy like Nikita Dorup to make their defense bigger. Now, we know that David Savard for them is retiring. Probably their biggest and, you know, most solid defensive and physical defenseman apart from Arbor Jackai. He is one of those guys that really you’re going to miss on a team when he is retiring this year. And kind of goes to show that they’re looking for a replacement. I do have a quote here from David Pagnata before we kind of hop into the other details about this. He said they want to be a little more physical. They want to be a little more beefier in this lineup. And you know, a guy like Nikita Zidorov certainly does bring it up for you. And when we look at Zidorov this year didn’t really have the season I think a lot of Bruins fans had hoped. However, his season was yet very important. Played just over 20 minutes time and ice a game, 22 points in 81 games and just over 30 years old. But when we look at his game this year definitely took a much bigger role than what he probably expected to before the season when the injuries of Elias Lindome or Hampus Lento, excuse me, and the injury to Charlie Makavoy both took hand and we saw Henry Yokiharu coming into the lineup. He played very very well. Now, does this trade really suit the Boston Bruins? And this is something I think a lot of people are going to be discussing here, and I want to know what you guys think in the comments below as well. When we’re looking at Owen Beck, a player who I’m going to kind of break down here in a moment, but is known for his defense. He’s just he does have that offensive talent, but his defense really shines more so than his offense, even though his offense certainly has, you know, taken a big step up here. But the big thing, I think, for the Bruins here would be the two second round picks in the third. We know the Bruins are going to be looking at more picks here throughout this off season wherever they can get them for over the next few years. And they’ve stated that they want to get this rebuild done quick. They want to get this rebuild and retool, you know, well underway and done as soon as possible. And getting these picks will give you the option to make both of those. First of all, you get a very young center, 21 years old, I believe. I’ll I’ll check in a moment here on Owen Beck, who’s going to be a good bottom six to middle six center. You also have the two seconds which you can either make those picks, trade those picks and uh the third round pick which of course is just another nice top of a a trade piece. But when it comes down to Owen Beck who is another piece in this one certainly you know 44 games 64 point uh 44 points excuse me in 64 games with Laval this season in the AHL. Certainly a lot better than what Habs fans are thinking. I was talking to Josh on Habs Digest and he was saying that you know Owen Beck definitely was a lot better than what some people are expecting. However, they don’t really see much coming out of him and they don’t really see much uh potential with Owen Beck as a you know a big star on this team which gives us a good opportunity to go out make someone younger put him in this lineup and we know the Bruins have that already but giving another example of that in Owen Beck would be a very interesting option you know when you look at his games in Montreal this year didn’t really have much to show was really here on uh you know was really there and playing in this NHL level in a fill-in role for injuries and whatnot but with Laval he showed what he’s made of and when you’re putting this trade into paper. It’s definitely an interesting look here when we do come down to this off season. So, I want to let I want you to let me know in the comments below. Would you go into Zidorov for this type of deal? Would you change anything here? Would you like Zidorov? Personally, I think Zidorov played a very good season. You know, very underrated. Started off terrible. Like, you know, let’s not forget that. But he played a big role and I think that’s something the Bruins are looking to hold for the next few years unless they’re trying to get rid of that $5 million cap hit that they gave him here in free agency. So, let me know what you think there. One thing that I’m really questioning here, however, for this trade is that when you look at the Bruins roster, at least in the NHL right now, of course, there’s going to be more names popping up here throughout next year in the offseason and over the next few years. But the Bruins do a lot of centers and you know, none of those are really star centers. I think that’s what the Bruins are really kind of closing in on eyeing right now rather than a depth center who, yeah, still very young going to be good, but they seem to do quite well with that here in the trade deadline getting Frasier Mitten, Matt Pattra, Maratu Natino, who can also play center. They have that depth on the younger side really filled out. However, does Owen Beck kind of secure this deal? I think that’s something that we’re gonna have to see at a later date. But we got to head on now to a very interesting look here. We have a new look from Elliot Freeman and what he had to say on an coaching search across the NHL, not specifically for the Bruins, but this certainly does imply the Boston Bruins here when we look at what’s going to be coming in this next week. So, this is what Elliott had to say on this topic on a recent podcast going over uh the coaching ideas for the rest of the NHL, which we now know is down to just a few teams who are still looking for their coaching search. One name right now, he coaches at in the Quebec League. They’re in the final is Gardner McDougall, the guy used to coach at New Brunswick. Like, I know teams have been watching this guy and saying, “Can this translate to the NHL?” Like if a coach walks into a room and does he have the resp you don’t have to like this person all the time, but do you respect this person? Will you play for this person? I think teams think about that all the time. Can this person command a room? I think a big thing there as well is what Elliott said is that he’s garnered the respect from whoever he’s been coaching. And now as you heard as well from New Brunswick in that coaching staff that you know people may not know especially from uh down in the states but in New Brunswick here in the A US I believe it’s called here uh in Newf Finland we at least see kind of that side of their college or university hockey was the coach of New Brunswick for a while and that team was an absolute dynasty. I think there’s no other way to put it. And when you go of course and look here at his stats as a coach for uh the University of New Brunswick, you see a pretty good winning percentage. now did retire from that last year and then go to the Monton Wildcats where he won the championship this year. Still a good team on the Monton Wildcats, but it goes to show that his game translates very very well. 53 and N for the Monton Wildcats this year. You know, I think you can almost count on two hands how many losses he has in the A US over uh you know five to six year span. Go down to the queue, do the same thing. And he’s looking to go up and up and I think that’s a big part of why he retired from the University of New Brunswick. What I want to pull up is a very kind of idea where we were a couple days ago from uh Pier Lebron. This is what he had to say. The Bruins coaching searches, but my final under uh my understanding is the final interviews will be conducted next week and then a decision to come after that. Not sure who made the cut. Boston has talked to a lot of people. Marco Sturm, Jay Woodcraft, Mitch Love, Luke Richardson, Jay Woodraftoft, uh sorry, Joe Sacko and Jay Leachch are those who among to be uh interviewed. Now, when the Bruins kind of came into this, we know that there was a lot of options that they kind of missed out on because they didn’t have a secure GM. Now, that is done. But there’s something in my mind telling me that there is a very interesting decision that they could have looked here on McDougall, see if he’s available, especially when it comes down to this new style of coaching that the NHL is seeing. A lot of these younger guys when you’re coming in, you see, you know, a coach like McDougall who’s coached these younger players in the AU, coached these younger players in Monton and has extreme success with that. And when you’re coming down here as well to the list of Brewing’s coaching candidates as of today, the 26th of May, you know, there’s a few good options. Of course, Marco Sturm is the one I think we’re all kind of very high in right now. And the list kind of goes on from there. And Jay Woodcraft, Luke Richardson, and you know, you can put Joe Sacko in that list are really the only ones here that have had adequate NHL experience of coaching. And you know, that really kind of puts the interest there. And I wonder if McDougall was an option for the Boston Bruins because, you know, as I mentioned, looking at the uh the numbers that he’s had over the past few years, he’s been really good. And, you know, that’s something that I certainly can see translate going from the queue to here. And I I I really do hope there was at least some talk of going on because as you heard Elliot say as well that the coach is garnering that respect. You’re playing for him. You respect him. You see the success that’s come from him. A lot of NHL teams are looking this way and it goes to show that, you know, you never really know what the coaching search is going to be like. And as Pierre LeBron said one more thing before we finish it off that this is what they believe to have interviewed. There could be more. There likely is more but at least those are what we believe right now. So let me know what you think about McDougall as well. Do you think he’s an option? And of course you do your research on him. I I do very much recommend look at his kind of past histories of coaching. He is a phenomenal coach and when you go back and look at the rosters given great teams as well, but you know you give a great team to a bad coach, you’re not going to still get that record that he has. So I do think it’s a very good decision. So let me know what you think in the comments below here. First of all, about Zidorov, about that trade, let me know what you think about that. As well as McDougall, do you think that he’s a a good coach option at least for the the Boston Bruins right now? Or do you think that we should get someone right now who’s had that NHL experience to get the Bruins past this rebuild, past this with a lot of younger players? Let me know what you think. That’s all I got in this video. If you did enjoy, give it a like, hit the sub button as well. Remember, we are on the road to 7K. We’ve been trying to reach that for a while, but your support has been absolutely incredible lately, and we appreciate every single bit of it. That’s all I got right now. Thank you for watching. Hope you have a great day. See you

Cap space is king. I would make this deal in a heartbeat, as long as I wouldn't have to cover any salary.
Trading Zadorav to the Canadiens would be stupid. I don't want them having him nor do I want anyone the Canadiens have, they're a very soft team. No thanks.
I’d get rid of Swayman before anyone else. Yeah he was good at recent tournament but once the nhl begins again in Boston he’ll be like a fish without water. Zadorov was a major dud as well. So get rid of that contract.
Zadorov to the canadiens 😂😂😂😂 bruins would never be that dumb
You really think the habs and bruins are trading with each other? 😂
I would want a better prospect than Beck or the 26 pick is a 1st.
Nothing to see here.
GONE. That many picks and a prospect for Z. SEE YOU LATA
He’s only gonna get slower and he takes way too many penalties. See ya later
Montreal already has 5 left shot defenseman……does he play on his offside?
Don't trade zadorov
hey man…if you're gonna make a whole video about some quotes from guys, maybe it's a good idea to include a link or a source, eh? Where is that screenshot from? Be specific.
So this a dumb vid are u bored bro. Now I hav an opinion on picks and how people shit a lot of peeps get a hard on for aquiring picks!!! Like you should just take that shit to the Casino when you acquire said pick it’s usually a gamble and to trade off someone proven that can play now is in my opinion just foolish I know it’s a way to have a set up of young guys and new blood and some depth IF they are nhl material. I’ mean look over a blackhawks look how much better they are because bedard ha ha not very! and he’s a 1 in every whatever quality draft but not like he turned the team to a contender for even makeong the playoffs so who fuck cares about picks! I’m pretty sure they hyped Shane knight up so much and for what or who the fuck is Shane I ain’t hearing anything from Seattle. And who the hell wants to wait 10 years for them to get back to winners I mean will if I have to but fuck that
Wtf? So, recent reports are, Zacha to Canadiens, Zadorov to canadiens? Nonsense
Adoring is not worth giving Owen and 3 picks.. get real.
canucks would gladly trade him back
This is just plain stupid. Haven’t you learned yet that Friedman is a friggin joke, rarely is he right.
Owen Beck a good player saw him play JR and the picks are importin when rebuilding. 3 years and we will be in cup talk
Kirk, you are out of your element! Get lost, you clown. Wtf are you talking about? You are a disgrace
