   What was Letang doing carrying the puck (other than forgetting that he is a defenseman) ? He had multiple open forwards to pass to when he was all the way back at the goal line

    Good clean hit! Letang had a few of these early in his career. MacIntyre playing with a broken orbital bone from earlier in the game vs Godard. After hitting Letang, Godard chased MacIntyre down in the corner to go again. That's when you can just see Sheldon Souray telling Godard that MacIntyre is not going to fight; "look at his face". Godard decided then that it was not a good idea to fight MacIntyre again; but still got penalized.

    You are taught from the time you are ten years old to keep your head up. How could he have not seen Big Mac…guy was 6’5” 250 and Letang was an all-star ….interesting sequence when Godard went in only to have Souray step in and protect McIntyre who I believe had a broken orbital. Souray was tough but I don’t think he wanted anything to do with Godard .

    I was at this game. This hit happened after Godard already TKO'd MacIntyre in an earlier fight in the first period and broke his orbital bone.
