  1. I'm currently searching for an editor for the channel.

Sir, Edm plays a zone defense, not man on man.

    1:14

Due to Nurse's enormous mistake, Bouchard is left defending a 2 on 1 in which he makes the right call and takes away the cross ice pass. Skinner lateral movement is bad, while his one on one isn't. Basically, nothing on this play was Bouchards fault. It was entirely Nurse who at this frozen frame, is halfway up the boards.

  3. No one picks Bouchard to be in their top 4 defenders for a top tier team. Dude gets gifts nonstop from McDavid that make him look so much better than he is. Same for Hyman.

  4. Live by the sword, Die by the sword. One day hes the most loved player in Oilers history, Next people want him strong up by his jockstrap in rogers. The definition of love and hate

  5. Nothing confusing at all, he is a defensemen who can’t play defense
Will not race to win the puck in his defensive end doesn’t want to get hit, throws the puck blindly up the middle again doesn’t want to get hit.Probably the softest player in the league, soft soft soft there is no way in hell the Oilers match anything $$$

  6. The Oilers as a club are confusing. Too many players either can't be taught or won't listen. It's a crap shoot every game.

  7. Bouchard is actually really solid defensively most of the time, but he does try to make the high risk high reward play more often which leads to lowlights. What gets missed is how frequently he denies zone entries, breaks the puck out cleanly, and wins 1 on 1 battles. It's the typical 'if you don't notice a defenseman that means he's playing well' thing but he's an easy player for people to hate so they downplay how good he is.

  8. Bouchard is like Paul Coffey. Coffey played a lot like him, as well. And guess what, Coffey is an associate coach with the Oilers right now! See a trend? I do!

  9. I don't know about "NHL history". You don't have to look any farther than one of the men standing behind him on the bench to find a comparably massive risk/reward kind of d-man.

  10. Hey! Have you heard of a guy on the West Coast named Pettersson? He's freaky mysterious as well, and, by the nuttiest coincidence, also the team's highest paid player to boot. Dang it!

  11. Boosh is what you call…… a …… UNICORN…….and if you really think about it nobody ever wants to see a Unicorn acting like a Horse…..appreciate him because hes worth 11-12 million on the Market and the Oilers need a Goalie.

  12. 7:44 oh WOW he made a simple pass! What a play! It’s not like that was his ONLY option because he’s a bad skater and is scared to leave the blue line! He did almost nothing on that play except shoot! Great job!

  13. Averaged 23 minutes a night over the last two seasons, he's +48 over that span. Also leads the Oilers over that period in time on ice at even strength. Guy isn't being sheltered.

He's not elite defensively but he's far from a liability. Nit-picked highlights don't show the whole picture on him.
