Feels weird that the play-by-play switch back and forth and often happened because a goal was about to be scored… takes away some of the suspense of the game…

I swear, a lot of the gap in popularity between Canada and the USA in this sport is about how the games are called. US broadcasts are largely trash.

A number of people posting here have commented on the Colorado play-by-play guy being a "homer". He is, but damn, listen to the Abbotsford play-by-play guy, Brandon Astle! He's absolutely no better. Brandon was out and out chortling when the Canucks scored the OT winner. Just listen to him here, 12:11, right 'til the end. If I was a Colorado Eagles fan, I think I would've punched in the screen while listening to that. lol

Two shitty commentaries there in Colorado. If a player is hit and he falls down it's not tripping. There was no elbow to the head either. I guess calling the game using security cam footage is hard.

Those are some good flops by the Eagles. They sure like to lay on the ice a lot.
Abbotsford should use Lekkerimäki on the point on the powerplay as he was deadly on Sweden's powerplay due to his heavy shot and quick release
