Matthew Tkachuk is so hard to play against because he has the gift of making things all about him. The Toronto Maple Leafs should have been focused on a powerplay opportunity but they had to first worry about surviving the time between the whistle for the penalty and the ensuing faceoff.

Another clinical example of why Florida is viewed as team rat around the NHL. When Tkachuk got crushed by Kolesar in the 2023 playoffs & fractured his sternum &/or clavicle, my thought was…..of any player I've observed for the last 7 plus years, you really deserved what you got. He, Bennett, Rodrigues, Kulikov, Mikkola, Luostarinen, Ekblad & Verhaeghe are all rats, some more than others & are now joined by a full volume rat in Marchand. The sequence above is atypical of Panther behaviour when a penalty is pending. Why the suckasses at the NHL allow it, defies logic.

This is precisely why they need to call the initial unsportsmen like conduct on Tkchuck when he does what he does. They then need to call the roughing on Tavares there. Boom, the Panthers have 3 penalties out of one and this shit stops in it's tracks.
I just genuinely dislike watching the Panthers play at this point. It’s not so much that they’re rats, but that the refs and the NHL let them get away with it. It’s just not interesting to watch a game where the rules are constantly different from moment to moment. It’s like watching the last of us and going “oh, Joel is back? That’s… wait, what? He has wings and is Ellie’s guardian angel now? Ok why is he radioactive though? Oh because Ellie is the emperor of Finland and she nuked all the infected which gave Joel super lawyer powers and now the show is a courtroom drama?”
If it doesn’t make any internal sense, there are no stakes. I find myself not all that concerned with who wins the game by the end, and I’m really just hoping to see a rat get squished.

well what can anyone say it's Florida's MO to be old school and instigators. What's more is that it's working on both the players and the fanbase. The best thing to do is ignore them and play clean hockey, despite what anyone says the Panthers do get calls and a lot it's just not possible to get the ref's to call everything. Toronto is trying to play Panthers game and failing and the fans can't handle it.
