On today’s episode of Locked On Stars, Joey Erickson reacts to the Dallas Stars 6-1 loss in Game 3 on Sunday afternoon. The Stars offensive woes continue to haunt them as Edmontons offense was too much for the Stars to hang with despite a majority of shots and chances in the game. For the third straight season the offense has gone quiet and leaving Dallas looking for answers. Joey also discusses the play of Stuart Skinner who continues to leave the Stars looking for answers, plus outplaying Jake Oettinger at the other end of the rink. In the final segment, Joey tries to rally all Stars fans around this team and get them to right the ship heading into game four.

oilers fan- that was the worst reffed game of the playoffs that i have watched i think. You guys played well and skinner won us that game. Your goalie needs to win you guys the next game and its a new series and anything can happen. I'm hoping that doesnt happen but its very possible . Next game is a huge one
Haha get real buddy. Sure they missed the delay of game just like they gave Janmark a high sticking penalty when on replay it was the greasy Finn that high sticked himself. Be realistic here
I have watched every playoff game and there is just a feeling after a few games where it is obvious who will win. The Caps over the Habs, for example, after game 2. The Oilers are that team. But I sure hope they can beat the Panthers. I can't stand them. They are total cowards and can't win fairly.

You asked for sound off in the comments. I know Robo was injured, but even if he had not been, he is historically a non factor in the playoffs. He's indicative of our team's soft-minded nature. Stars have no heart for a good fight. Rantanen was a beast against Colorado and Winnipeg, where is he in this series? The same goes for Seguin and Granlund. They ALL need to pick up their game Tuesday night or it's over.

Second period was that the Stars showing they can hang or was it the Oilers taking their foot off the gas? They got back on the gas in the third and did what they have done in almost every other periods played imo
9 goals against in 2 games is a sign a team is not good enough to compete against the other. BTW, seems to me that some players like Benn and others are so slow. Wow! Anyway, Oilers look like the Globetrotters of hockey team. The skills and talents is spread out through their entire lineup. Unlike the Stars. They added big bodies this year to their defense core. They will win the cup this year and probably many more as a dynasty team. I was hoping for Dallas to go compete for the cups but it’s clear they are not good enough. I was surprised when they won their series against the Avs, now I see why, a great amount of luck. What a bunch of whiners also. I can’t supports teams that whine and complaint. So consider me out as a fan.

Stars recap year: basically mix of playoff luck to win over Col, beat depressing jets to run into Oilers. One difference. No more luck individual offensive popups.

Also under referee “fixer” Sutherland, Stars are 7-2 oilers are 2-9. He loves you guys.
Oilers are on a mission. Oilers in 5 (Gentlemen’s sweep) or 6 games.
Stars have been better than the Oilers for two of 9 periods played. They are lucky it's not 3-0.
It comes down to the Oilers coach. Knobloch is a masterclass coach. He has out coached Dallas. Plain and simple. They changed how they attack in the offensive zone. They have so many options. Dallas can’t keep up.
Stop whining about the officiating. As per the post below, there were more penalties against Dallas that were missed than were missed against the Oilers. Bottom line, outside of the 3rd period of game 1 and the 2nd period today, the Oilers have been a superior team in all aspects, especially 5v5.
Stu is not a "mediocre goalie". He is virtually perfect or a complete train wreck. He went to game 7 in the finals last year, unlike the Stars.
Don't feel bad. It's tough to beat Edmonton. They just keep upping the pace no matter what you throw at them.

Avalanche fan, so Im sure Dallas fans will jump all over me. When you got Rantanen you all immediately thought you would win the cup easy. Time to admit you arent unbeatable. Very good team, but gotta do the work. More top guys need to step up.

Well first and last time I ever watch hockey in my life, the war no cowboys or Barcelona to root for so I just said well let’s see the buzz about the stars and we’ll thanks for the small ride but I’m out NHL is very biased and rigged to traditional teams
The reason Mikko isn't playing well enough is that the coach overworked him in the previous series.
Overcommiting constantly and giving the oilers odd man rushes is not a good strategy.. absolutely attrocious. This oilers team is very beatable and the stars can definately beat them but they need to play their game and forget about whats happened the last 2 because theyre handing this to the oilers on a platter.
Theyre already planning for the final guys.. get the f**k up and make em earn it. The score doesnt speak the game i watched and the stars can beat this obnoxious oiler team 100 percent.
Mikko Rantanen hit crossbar hurt. Oilers shoot high blocker side every time and score on Otter. No way was this his fault though. You can say offense nowhere to be found but they outshot them by a lot today. Skinner is not consistent but you gotta give him credit in last 2 games. 97’s play on goal at end of 2nd was out of this world to bank puck off the boards for odd man rush.
When do you guys expect to get Benn back in the lineup? You really could use some of that toughness that he's there to bring for the Stars.
Just imagine when the Oilers get their best defenseman back in the lineup, might have a roster spot opened up for him with the likely head injury cause by the Petrovic head shot when he didn't have the puck.
