before game 6 i made a prediction. which is that the universe requires the maximum amount of suffering of leafs fans, so they would win game 6 and lose in game 7 overtime

The leafs franchise, from top to bottom, is a sick, sad, pathetic joke. As is the majority of their fanbase. I hope the "good" fans can have enough self respect to cut ties and take their fandom elsewhere, for their own good and everyone else's. Leave that dumpster fire of a team behind to rot.
Toronto is the perfect example, in my opinion, why "snipers" shouldnt be taking up a ton of cap space. The core four, besides maybe Tavares, is not a group that is willing to get into the dirty areas and try even a 1/20th more energy in corner battles or getting in the blue paint. Sniping doesnt do nearly as much for you in the play offs as it does the regular season. Hopefully shanaplan is gone this off season and they bring in grinders.

I thought the Leaf's fourth line did very well in the last part of the 1st period? Why didn't they stick with that going forward? They allowed Florida to adjust going into 2nd Period. Although, I think Florida has better depth and discipline. I can see Florida winning back to back Champs! Florida beats Canes 4-2? Stars I think will beat Edmonton 4-3 in the series. Those are my guesses.

Defence wins championships. While their D was better this year, still too many give aways especially on break outs, bad clearing attempts, not getting to loose pucks, poor positional play at times, etc etc etc.
At times I was remembering a coach of mine from a church league when I was a child telling us not to do what I witnessed. At times the basics of positional play were just completely ignored. And how many times were floridas forwards between a leaf D and the goalie? How many times were florida forward just floating in the slot alone? …
Leafs fans will blame Marner. But to be honest thats what’s wrong with your organization. No one wants to take responsibility and you just have a scapegoat where in reality your entire team is garbage. No heart, no passion, no respect for the fans, no drive, dont leave it on the ice, cry baby losers.

The amount of people and articles and news organizations talking about pressure to play in toronto or how Toronto wouldve won without fan pressure is the most insane diluted takes ive ever seen. Tkachuk, Maurice and Marchand either thinks that Hockey players are too soft and scared to play in Toronto while footballers meeting the same or greater expectations in England with similar extended runs of pure failure can handle it, or their lying for personal gain or just to rub salt into the wound after smashing them at home twice in a row. I'm sick of this two faced shit and people just taking it at face value. It's only Toronto. No one said this about Montreals cup run or the oilers cup run. "Jets fans were just too motivated for a good cup run, guess its time to move the team". This is insane logic. Only the leafs because its the leafs. We all know hockey players are built for this.

If you can't put your backup in net he shouldn't be on the bench. Your goalie gives up couple of ?'s. And, you can't call a timeout and put a backup in. You can't put in a Hildeby and ask the team to rally. Sound far fetched? But even the coach has to expect the unexpexted before the game and go all out. Let's be honest, they were not beating Carolina even if they did miracle a victory in game 7. They are too soft against tougher opponents. Let's also remember Florida are the Stanley cup Champs, it is amazing to me the Leafs even won 1 game.
