But makes no difference-Toronto,TB, Colorado,Vegas-they all would be more competitive than 9th or 10th best team in the NHL Canes. Florida is great,& probably will repeat. And I don't count 2009 with nobody on the team now playing then probably. But 2019,23,& 25 tell you all you need to know about Betmans playoff format. As Allen Walsh says-Gary is the only person(& teams in the Metro)- who doesnt want to go back to a much more fair 1 vs 8 format.
Our team is too small. Itâs the same problem every year. I love 20, 24, 22, 53 plus 37 (he has size) but it might be time to entertain some trade options for bigger players.
The only thing that can save this series, and itâs gonna sound like a joke, but an opening puck drop line brawl would be the one thing that pushes back on the panthers, physically and mentally.
Orlov having a particularly poor series, many mistakes through all 3 games. Aho, Ghost, and Svechy should know better than to try the rough stuff with the Cats. Not sure what to think of this series, but getting some sort of major stars onboard HAS to be on the A list for the off season. Too many middle 6 type forwards trying to play top 6 minutes. Also betting that if this series ends in Florida's favor, we're going to find out there were Canes players who were trying to play through SIGNIFICANT injuries. Yes, everybody's banged up during the playoffs, but I bet you we're going to hear about some broken bones, etc.
This series has gone from a "these are tight games and we just need a couple pieces" to a level of humiliation and disgraceful play that makes you wonder whether MAJOR changes are needed. The canes are now not only not celebrated for 7 years getting in and winning a series, but they are a national joke and this series is the kind of series that can have a hangover for a long time
What's most disappointing is the Canes killing themselves with bad decisions. Hall literally ended the season with that pass… a pass that is inexcusable. I never thought the canes would mentally collapse and lose their will to fight. Really disappointing.
We have to be honest…Florida full on pushed the Hurricanes into playing small. And the difference between big brother and little brother. Mikkola has taken giant steps…he's just a big man that has developed.
Carolina is just not good enough. Pure and Simple. I obviously under valued the Panthers or over valued Carolina. I thought the Panthers would win but I thought the games would be somewhat close. As a Panthers fan it is kind of embarrassing to watch how much better the Panthers have been than the Hurricanes.
I kinda hope they get swept in 4, I really donât want to attend another humiliation game in person. At least we have a unique streak going in the NHL. Aho is at best a 2nd line center on any other team. We need bigger and meaner
I really, really hope the Canes can dig deep a win game 4. The series is over, but this is more than an elimination game… this is pretty much a game that can start the healing or else cement a legacy as a total joke.

At least you give the young Russian more pressure experience for future playoffs. Definitely should start the kid.

Aho is a master of knowing exactly how little he can give and not get called out for it. Andrei had major mental problems with his confidence.

Svech should be traded. Go get a 200 foot worker. Florida traded weegar and huberdeau for a 200 foot grinder (helps he gets 100 points but still).
