Saturday, Niko Mikkola gave Florida a 1-0 lead in the first before Carolina tied it going into the third.
Jesper Boqvist made it 2-1 early in the third — the first of five straight goals for the Panthers.
Mikkola ended with two goals, as did Sasha Barkov; Boqvist and Brad Marchand got the others.
Sergei Bobrovsky had 23 saves.

As expressed by the players before the fourth (elimination) game being up 3-0 is the hardest mentally…and understandably. The immense pressure those guys feel to "seal the deal" cannot be overemphasized however I am probably more anxious than them as a huge cat fan. As the expression goes back in the day I rode motorcycles there was a saying "ride like you stole it". Again kudos coach Paul.
Thank God for Reino, Mikk, and Greer not being ruled out for the rest of this EC finals and especially for a potential SC finals. Go Cats go.
