  1. They Habs currently have 4 legit center prospects in their system: Hage/Xhekaj/Beck/Kapannen. Depending on their development, they project any from #2c in Hage, all the way to 4c..

  2. They should probably focus on improving the team and not rush it. When teams try to cut corners in their rebuild they end up making it longer. Look at the Red Wings, Maple Leafs, Predators. All teams that wanted to skip steps and went backwards.

  3. I wouldn’t trade the picks unless it’s for a player with the potential of being a long term 2C. If u can’t find that trading partner, draft the BPA’s or try to move up. If we use the picks this year, our cupboard will be super stocked. This allows us to be creative when it comes to trade talks in the future and makes us more comfortable with forfeiting picks by signing players to offer sheets. Getting a stop gap veteran like Giroux or Duchene for the time being would be the most prudent path if no awesome trade is available.
