there is nothing to analyze, the canes need a psychiatrist, only one team showed up for this series, their defense and offense are both toilet bowl level, they look dazed, overwhelmed and lost, they are not ready to play at the top level
this shows how much better the leafs really are than the canes and most other teams, they got them to a game 7 that is good when you consider how good this Florida team is, only Edmonton with Skinner standing on his head for every game has any chance to even make it interesting.
they will have to dismantle this juggernaut eventually, all teams decline cause they will not be able to hold on to all these players will demand more money, 3 strait finals is about as good as it gets during the cap era, Tampa did it once and Penguins also, next year i would not be amazed to see a decline and some people leaving, 3 finals is alot of effort and they will be up against the cap, more teams will copy their system and try to steal some of their players, it will only get harder. i think we will not see them making 4 finals in a row if they do its cause the east is incredible weak conference not cause they are as good as now.

Panthers are just too good. You lose Reinhart and Boqvist comes in and produces 3 points. Panthers 3rd line can be 70% of teams first or second line. They are deeper than the knicks throats. That’s the difference.
The Caps would have been a better matchup than Carolina…. maybe 5- 6 games.
