Breaking down the 2025 Calgary Flames prospect pool

A month ahead of the 2025 NHL Draft from Los Angeles, Ryan breaks down the entire Calgary Flames prospect pool.

Starting with players that have graduated from being considered prospects, Ryan then goes position by position, oldest to youngest, to detail what the Flames have in their prospect cupboards heading into draft season.

  1. Hey Ryan It's Always Nice To See Your Shiny Face & Hear Your Voice In Addition To Your In Depth Articles, Your Hard Work Is Appreciated.
Flames Are Very Blessed With Wolf & The Often Under Rated Adam Klapka.
Klapka Is A Full Time Flame Next Year. I Would Like To See Him In Front Of Many Opposition Nets Screening And Tipping Pucks As He Has Shown, Working Boards & Corners As Well.
I Really Like Morton & Kerins To Graduate. We Need Centers. I Disagree With You On Kerins Early On Just Some Growing Pains Maybe, He Is One Of Our Better Players Certainly On The Wranglers But Showed Well With The Flames Also.
Bru-Kuz Pairing Was Quietly Solid & Consistent. That Pair Might Get An NHL Test In Exhibition.
Bru-Bahl Pairing Might Be A Thing As Well If Bru Graduates. Nobody Will Mess With Bru With Bahl On The Ice.
I'm Not Saying Bahl Is A Scrapper Per Se But If Somebody Messes With His Partner He Gets An Even More Sour Look On His Face Than Normal.
I'm Afraid Poirier's Injury Removed His Skill Advantage Over Others, He Moves The Puck A Lot But Not Much Ever Comes Of It Considering How Much He Hangs Onto The Puck.
Morin's First Two Camps He Was Off Balance But The Moncton Skill Set He Has Shows Great Potential.
Morin Could Be Our Left Defence Left Handed Power Play Guy.
Parekh & Gridin Will Graduate & Possibly Play All NHL.
Mews Is Very Good But He Needs To Fill Out & Hit The Gym In Michigan.
I Liked What Carter King Brought The Last Couple Games Last Year. Hard Worker & Skill Quick Attacking Center.
Ciona & Hurtig Need Some Time In The Gym With Lomberg & Mike Tyson Or Stay Out Of Fights Altogether I Recall Thinking In A Fight They Were Both Unarmed, Not Everybody Gets A Glint In The Eye Like Lombo When A Hockey Game Breaks Out.
We Need Big Centers Invest Time In Honzek To Fill Out & Get Used To His Big Growing Still Awkward Body. Same For Lipinski.
Basha Is A Playmaker & Can Skate He Is A Fireplug.
Luke Also Needs To Grow & Fill Out I Would Love To See Him & Michael Misa Both As Flames But I'm Not Holding My Breath.

  2. Could klapka end up being a winger that plays the physical game of zadarov, maybe be good for 45-50 pts a few times in his career

  3. Thanks for doing these Pike! Love it. We just did an episode breaking down our top 10 prospects as well. It's crazy how quickly the flames turned their prospect pool from crickets to aces.

  4. I have more concerns regarding the flames then ever, worried they are going to keep chasing the playoffs while not bottoming out missing out on high-end skill

  5. Is it time to move on from Poirier? I think so. Too many guys have passed him un the pevkong order imo. Moght be a food sweetener in a trade. Not sayjng he's not gunna be an nhl player, just saying he might need to be on a team without Parekh, Brzustewicz and Mews.

  6. Some small advice Pike.
You're pulling down the stats page way too quick. No reason why you can't talk while the stats are showing.

Great vid though and appreciate the efforts!
