After eleven years as president of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Brendan Shanahan’s time with the team has come an end. The former Detroit Red Wings player’s contract with the team following their second round exit vs. the Florida Panthers in the NHL playoffs.
The loss spurs further questions about the future look of the team, notably if Mitch Marner resigns or heads to another team, even the Red Wings possibly. Marner and his teammates discussed the situation as well as losing to the Panthers after pushing the series to a Game 7.
