Arber was paired up with one of the worst defensive Partners in the league last year. He's gonna be much better this year, logan and arbor pairing this year should be good
10m is way too much for a 50 point player!!! I know he brings more to the game than pts but still way too much. If we can't get exactly what we need for 2nd line center this summer I'd rather give kirby another chance. I don't want to settle for table scraps

We had our second line Center. Sean Monahan. Perfect for the next couple years until Michael Hage comes along. And only 5.5 cap hit. Everyone knew the Cap was going up in the next couple years. The greatest steal in any trade in my opinion. And as for Xhekaj he has to stay. There's only so much money to go around. He's that $3 million player on Defence you need. You cant keep all these defence. How much will Reinbacher be worth, How about Hudson, What about Jacob Fowler, Logan Mailloux, and so on. There's always going to be that cheap defenceman on your team. He should be that one. Not only that, He'll make you Millions of revenue on Jersey alone. So 10 mil today isnt what 10 mil used to be. Price’s contract will be moved. And we have 1 last year of Laine and then Gallagher contract will end too which leaves more money for a guy like Demidov, Hutson and Bennet
I have faith in Gorton?Hughes NOT to go off the plan. There is NO need to go out and sign a 29 to 33 yr old veteran Ctr just to give Demidov a true 2nd line Ctr in his 1st NHL yr. The team did well this past year but lets be honest. The Canadiens are not yet ready to contend for the cup. Slow our roll people, we still are 2 or 3 yrs away from the start of our window

Xhekaj is one of those players who needs a little longer to hone his skillset. I believe they will hold on to him as he is a key piece in their shift to a more physical presence.

They needed a lot more than Arber to make it a closer series. And Florian is not enough either. And the problem is that Laine, Gallagher, Evans, and Newhook all play small, and Heineman doesn't play "big", and they're all under contract. So it's basically the same team with the addition of Demidov and the next 2C which a lot of teams are also after. So they don't win a playoff round eh?
Trade Arber to the west in a deal for a 2c. Engstrom will be a definite upgrade on the left side.

MSL gave up on him long ago even though he says he never gives up on a player unless they give up on themselves. He didn't even like him being called the sheriff and he couldn't do anything right for MSL. He's even afraid to use his hard shot for fear of it being blocked and then getting caught out of position. Same thing when he throws a hit. Everyone else is allowed to make mistakes and learn from them, but not Arber. And don't get too exited about his brother playing here for long. You think he will want to stay after how Arber was treated ?
Arber is the worst defenseman by all measures. Can't have an enforcer play defence, loss due to penalties hurts the team disproportionally. Arber is the forward-only path for him, a 4th-line forward.. If it's not going to happen, then Bue, Bye,
The Habs need to get tougher to compete against bigger teams like Wsh, and Fla. Can't trade Arber he fits that mode.
Didnt Hugues SPECIFICALLY said hes not gonna over pay à ufa but would consider overpay on a trade… so not concerned about Hugues breaking the bank on a dubious contract on july 1st
