  1. Only suckers spend lots of money on regular season hockey which is fraudulent hockey, the real teams win in the playoffs or are competitive in the playoffs. Toronto is good at beating useless teams like Ottawa

  2. Players not showing up!!! One hundred % the core 4,,,,, just like always!!! I wonder How many of them had money on the game?????

  3. The average percentage of Canadian players on Stanley Cup-winning teams over the past two decades is approximately 61.5%.

Teams like the Vegas Golden Knights (2023) and Boston Bruins (2011) had the highest Canadian representation at 73.9%, while the Tampa Bay Lightning (2020) had the lowest at 47.8%.

Canadian players consistently feature prominently among the top performers in championship teams, underscoring Canada's continued contribution to NHL success.

  4. Off-topic, I like how Marty's background includes goalie masks and pennants of the teams he played for in his career. Very nice touch!

  5. Does Matthew’s not care enough? He should be leading this team, not blaming and calling them passengers. He needs to be a better captain, Tavares was a better captain ffs

  6. marner's future is clear and bright. like marcel dionne, he'll be one of the great players that never wins a cup. he'd be spot on perfect with bedard in chicago. they won't be a playoff team for years to come.

  7. They did not show up. You can tell from the first period it wasn't going great. Losing puck battles, defensive breakdowns. Being outshot 7-0 to start game 7.

  8. The Leafs: they never fail to fail, it's the easiest thing to do. The Leafs: in all professional sports, the biggest chokers.
And Auston Matthews when the chips are down is nowhere to be found. The core 4 all make over $ 11 million each a year, but in games that matter…choke. Pathetic.

  9. Home game advantage did the team no good. players just crumbled at the biggest home game. .need a gilmour, a Clark. skill with grit, strong mentality against the highly preesurized toronto market. Matthews and marner for all their talent, aren't the answer.

  10. Just Knies has to be re-signed for the rest of them… seeya… use that extra money on sandpaper players. The regular season means nothing anymore… sure make the playoffs but it's all about the playoffs for the Leafs anything else is faillure like Brendan Shanahan and his stupid plan.

  11. Leafs fans have run Marner out, they will run Mathews out. And then wonder why they never make the playoffs for the next 10 years. Learn to be grateful for your players. The negativity and hate they receive from their fans and media when they make it to game 7 second round is pathetic.
Nobody wants to play there anymore, it’s toxic and the pressure is out of control because the fans entitled and think they deserve everything. Typical liberal fanbase. They will leave and win wherever they play just like Kessel. Leafs fans don't deserve a team because they are entitled babies

  12. It's not just a disappointment , it's an absolute failure. Remember when Tavares was the first overpaid signing of the cute 4.

  13. Leafs apologists are too afraid to call out 34. This team won't win a cup with him as captain. His "I'm the best" bad attitude permeates the room and is sensed by lower tier players. This is the reason Ryan O'Reilly wouldn't resign here as he experienced this first hand. Until this bad attitude is removed from the organization the Leafs will not win a cup. It would behoove Toronto media – Sportnet & TSN to clearly understand this and call him out, maybe then MLSE can approach him with a possible trade to his preferred LA destination. Let's hope..

  14. The Curse of Harold Ballard will ensure that the Stanley Cup never returns to Toronto. The final dagger in this dismal pathetic season for the Make Beliefs fans will be seeing Marchand hoist the Stanley Cup.
