There’s a Ghost in the NHL Playoffs

Auston Matthews is one of the greatest goal scorers of his generation. His regular season numbers are historic, but in the playoffs, the goals dry up. Is it pressure, playoff defenses, or something deeper holding him back from greatness?

  1. Matthew’s needs to shave his head and embrace his receding hairline. Just like lebron when his head band came off against the spurs.

  2. U don't have to score as long as u good defensively and have the occasional breakout pass 20 man roster every one needs to so there job

  3. Laffs r always at the top of the money 💰 list. That's all they care about the rest is bull 💩. Laff fans r the biggest problem. 😴

  4. Everyone who knows hockey also know darn well that Ovechkin is now slow and can’t handle more than 40 seconds of that at a time on ice in a shift. Watching him against Montreal and Carolina, you could tell he was out of gas and slow. He relies on other s insulating him so he can get space for his shot which is good admittedly. Carolina knew this better than Montreal, they smothered him. Zero impact in that series. Conclusion? I wouldn’t give that guy a contract on my team because the cost of adding players to insulate him and the fact that he’s out of shape, makes for terrible contracts. He will never win another championship that’s for sure. Google him, the guy eats junk food and is overweight now. He’s not an healthy individual and relies on legal boosters to keep playing (well documented in some boards where close friends of him admit of this guy use of substances). Next year, no east coast team will need to worry about Washington.

  5. The whole entire team needs psychological counseling. They don’t lack skill, so the problem is in their heads

  6. whiney Toronto fans be whinin' – it's not easy to win the cup for any team, it takes the grit that Florida has with all the right pieces, just look at ovi took him a long time to make it to the cup, its not easy, blaming your best players, mhmm idk, its a whole team effort, especially in the playoffs. That's what yall miss, not to mention when your making millions it gets pretty easy to accept losing. He performs for you guys all year round, Toronto negativity sucks all the life out of them.

  7. He’s the Tony Romo of the NHL amazing in the regular season but as soon as the playoffs start they choke more than a porn star

  8. A bit of a news flash. The players don't even care about winning games. They're all in it for selfish purposes. But don't tell that to delta males, they're looking for a hero, lol. Matthews and his mom only ever cared about the money. He won when he got to the NHL. It's sad to say that anyone can be that greedy, but I've observed people for long enough to know that their actions and decisions tell me what their motivations are, people just need to get rid of their childhood naivete and start being honest. No player is worth a paying a million bucks to see.

  9. Mathew’s is nothing but a big cry baby maybe he should stick to doing TV commercials instead of playing hockey

  10. hate to say it, but reminds me of joe thornton and patty marleau – too good to take away but folds in the playoffs for decades of sharks heartbreaks. Not even close as big of a market as Toronto, otherwise i think they would have come under possibly MORE fire
