HIGHLIGHTS: Game 2 Providence Bruins vs Springfield Thunderbirds | AHL Calder Cup Playoffs

The T-urns in their home run sweaters will attack from left to right in the first. Hugh Mcing with a Stenberg and Corandowski to begin the night and Leo Loop back at the control. Sam Johannes to center will pitch it in from the red line. Immediately hit by Fonaci. Ready Bernay back on it for the Bruins along for Ian Mitchell. Mitchell stretching it out towards center. McGang poke checking Riley Durant early. Let’s go T-Ird chance far louder than what we heard on Wednesday in Providence. T-Irds trying to use that home ice to their advantage. Leo Loopa around a check in the high slot. Andowski gaining space. Andowski the shot rising high over the net. And a big hit along the boards by Pitlick as he knocked Andinowski down to the ice. Another one-time coming from Ortiz and Ellis has that one pinned up against the midsection with the L trying to create some chaos in front of the blue paint. Ellis with a couple of saves in succession there. He’s got four of them in the opening minutes of this one. 1522 left in the opening break. yet to have a goal or a penalty in this opening period. We had a total on a technicality of eight power plays on Wednesday night, but really the T-irds committed only three power play inducing penalties. It just so happened that two of them were four-minute double miners for high sticking. Tangled in game one at one point. Johannes poking it off the stick of Minton and back deep in the Springfield end it goes. Lysel to it. tried to center it quickly. Johannes had Wal Street marked closely at the front of the net. Now D’vorski the other way across center will just backhand in from the red line. T-Irds with an obedient change. Neither team wanting to commit that mistake in the neutral zone so far. It’s been a bit of a tentative start as Peterson steps back in but offside were the T-irds. Callen had not quite escaped the offensive end. 6 minutes and 14 seconds gone by here in the first as Brune and Peterson have some words. Kessie joins the frey as well. We will step aside. See how the referees choose to police things here in the early going of game two. Lock bit on the left wing waiting for reinforcements. Has one coming late. Skinner winds fire. Save Petro as he came way out of the blue paint. The challenge now Lel in transition up and the T-Irds move in transition. Kale Kessie across the Ozone. Peterson down the left wing ridden by Tuy into the end board. Peterson kept his feet still battling in that corner. Puck now bouncing into the air. Ortiz carefully plays inside of that in front and it’s on the back hand. It’s loose in the paint. Kessie whacking away at it and the whistle stops play. Oh, Peterson got his stick in there to create a giveaway right near the crease and it looked like Kessie and Peterson both had glorious chances right at the tail end. Peterson actually hit the post on a one-hand bid and Kessie just couldn’t quite get there fast enough. Some great work by Ortiz, giving up at least 4 in and probably 30 pounds on Kale Kessie, but he knocked the big man down and kept the T-Ird enforcer from the ice breaking T. Now Mitchell will spot it. Ian Mitchell left to right to center across the T-Ird line on the right wing. Finani dodging a hit attempt, but the play was offside and the whistle stops things. Cessie over to police the scene as Tufty and Peterson get sticks and gloves raised. Bushinger has Renee in a headlock as well. Feronaci has picked a dance partner. Everyone pretty much has a dance partner right now. Let’s see how they choose to call this difference of opinion. Let’s say 535 remaining in the second. We will all catch our breaths, but there will be penalties from this. How many and on who, we will find out. T-irds and Bruins still scoreless under six minutes to play. Second period of what could be a deciding game two T-Irds and Bruins brought to you by MGF Springfield. Hannison pointto-oint Alexandro. Alexandro back to Johannes right through feed. D’vorski settles it. Waits with it. Turns away from pressure in low now for L. Lop in front. Alexandro a one timer blocked. It comes to the back of the net. Mitchell a hacking clearing attempt. Knocked down by Alexandro. Alexandro steps in. Fires short side. Save made. Rebound. Love whacking away at a backhander. Alexandro stopped in front. Third try from Alexandra. Blocked. D’vorski now with it. Holds. Wait. Shoot. Moves it in front. Nobody there. Alexandro fires. Blocked again by Maronace. And Alexandro in behind the goal for love. Quickly in front. Pekka to the back. Pekka the shot. Dietro the save. He didn’t know where it was, but it was in his paraphernelia. He slid way out past his blue paint and was looking over his right shoulder that entire time as the captain made a beautiful move to open up space for himself. And if it had gotten behind Petro, Alexandro and Luff were ready to jam it into the yawning net. Alexandro will just send an alleyoop to the Providence line. Knocked down by a Bruin and swatted ahead. A race for the puck now. Bitlick will get to it down the right wing. got it in front of the goal. A backhander stopped by Ellis. Rebound chipped in front. Puck is free and stopped by Ellis at point blank range on Pitlick. Callahan bouncing it down wide of the net. Bruins got the first good chance of overtime. Ortiz now in front and hit off Tufty and back to Pekka skates. He couldn’t locate it and Lof will just rescue it out to center. Bruins playing with the purpose to begin the overtime. Here’s Tufty in on the right wing. Riley Tuy leaving it back. The trailer. Callahan. Mike Callahan. Luc shot. He hit the post. Rebound. score. Vinnie Lati has won it for Providence at 114 of the overtime and we will have a game three on Sunday afternoon. Another pipe. There have been many of those in this game, but this time Lati found it before a T-Ird could. And the Bruins win it one- nothing. And it ironically happens quickly after a scoreless regulation for 60 minutes. Just a minute and 14 into the first overtime period. Latar the winner which sends this series to the brink.

Highlights from Game 1 of the first-round series between the Providence Bruins and Springfield Thunderbirds featuring a Mikey DiPeitro shutout.

  1. AHL site before for paying per game availability was better than flohockey where you are required to pay full price all games or nothing. As some of us will not watch the entire playoff game season and are forced if to watch only some games to pay full prices. Therefore I do not.
