The St. Louis Blues absolutely HAMMERED the Winnipeg Jets in a dominant 5-2 win in Game 6 of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs, evening the series 3-3 and forcing a winner-take-all Game 7 in Winnipeg.
🔥 Second Period Explosion:
The Blues stunned the Jets with four unanswered goals in just over two minutes, including tallies from Philip Broberg, Alexey Toropchenko, Brayden Schenn, Cam Fowler, and Nathan Walker. The Jets had no answer for St. Louis’ relentless attack.
🧱 Toropchenko Leads the Charge:
Toropchenko had a massive night with 1 goal and 1 assist, bringing energy and physicality every shift. Broberg added his first career playoff goal and an assist, making his presence known at both ends of the ice.
🥅 Jordan Binnington Shuts the Door:
Binnington made 21 saves and looked calm under pressure, giving the Blues the edge in a game where they never trailed.
💔 Jets Collapse Under Pressure:
Connor Hellebuyck allowed 5 goals on 23 shots before being pulled after the second period. With Mark Scheifele still sidelined by injury and Nikolaj Ehlers trying to carry the offense, Winnipeg now faces a must-win Game 7 on home ice.

Jets scored on the Walker “slashing” penalty to LeBron James, not the Faulk penalty after the offsides.
Blues fan here…met robert Thomas in 2019.was his uber the night after the stars game 7 win.he is a playoff player. Blues cup win coming.
Can't wait for game 7, but nervous about playing the last game away at the Jets. Going to be a nail-biter for sure.
Just like in mlb where people say St. Louis cardinals are irrelevant did these fanbases forget how many World Series they won I don’t need to hear the disrespect half of them is cub fans too unless they have about 8 World Series they shouldn’t be mouthing how irrelevant we are we could come back and dominant people forget cardinals are good with rebuilds but rather be ignorant
Jets are playing at home for game 7. I would expect them to win.
Keep Comrie in the net for next game
They need to break thier 6 game road losing streak and a 3 game losing streak in Winnipeg
I’m new to your channel but as a Blues fan it’s awesome to watch your unbiased content… I’ve chose to subscribe to your channel over Blues fan ran channels just because of the pure quality of your content… I will definitely be a HUGE fan for a LONG time to come!!! 💙💛LGB💛💙
Great channel blues fan great work game 7s are the best can't beat NHl playoff hockey. If the Blues lose im excited about our future
Great analysis dude!
Let's go blues 💪 💙
My understanding is that you play to the whistle, even if it’s “lame duck” time. An analagous situation that benefited Blues in yesterday’s game was delayed penalty, where everyone knew that the second Winnipeg touched puck, whistle would blow…doesn’t mean Buchnevich can’t deliver check to the opponent the second he touched puck. That’s why Buchnevich wasn’t penalized, even though I’m sure it looked cheap in context to Jets fans.
Another way to think about it is this, and why they can’t change the rule and/or try to put any amendments to rules …imagine that Faulk doesn’t just hook the Jets player who is about to score on the offsides….imagine he Dale Hunter/Darian Hatchers the guy with a blow to the head…but it was offsides, so now it doesn’t matter, even if a felony was committed, since it was offsides…
I have insight on why coaches pull or don't pull a goalie. As a former goalie and I know the feeling of getting pulled or being put in for the starter. It comes down to mostly the situation of the game. In the case of Hellebuyck last night it was late in the second period, and the game was getting out of reach for a comeback, so the coach is going to let the starter ride out the dying minutes of the period. No point in switching at the end of the period because your team is not going to benefit from this. Also, this now lets the backup goalie to mentally prepare more to weather the storm. Now say this was the first period then Hellebuyck gets pulled after the 3rd maybe 4th goal right away (Unless there is roughly 4 or less minutes). As this is a wake up call either to the team to get their act together (if the goals aren't all the goalies fault), if it is mostly the goalies fault then they need take the starter out of there ASAP, to try and make a comeback as there is still lots of hockey left. There are other reasons for other situations but this comment is already too long lol. The issue last night for the Jets is Arneil wants to believe in Hellebuyck which is great because the confidence your coach has in you can really help after being chased from the net (I have experience this and it helps), but Arneil should of pulled Hellebuyck right after the Schenn goal. I agree about everything you said about Hellebuyck on the Schenn goal. He was mostly likely rattled (doubt is creeping in and confidence is dipping). Like you said those are though shots to save but Schenn is shooting from the top of circle so that needs to be a save. Hellebuyck was flat footed and mentally behind, I bet he wasn't expecting a shot and was thinking Schenn was going to cut to the middle more. When rattled you start to overthink and being a goalie is reactionary position. There is no time to think as a goalie as this will cost you big time. Also, Fowlers goal doesn't happen if Hellebuyck just covers the puck but instead throws it back into the chaos where it lands right onto a Blues stick to be sent to the point.
This isn't going to be discussed anywhere in the media outlets because nothing came of it but in the first period of the game Hellebuyck made a horrible turnover with the puck that led to good O-Zone time for the Blues and were actually close to scoring. As goalies we are told to rim the puck off the glass if you do not have a play but the issue here was Hellebuyck rimmed it along the glass where he had no teammates to battle the 50/50 puck. The puck went right to a Blues winger and if I remember right if he missed it the defensemen was there to handle it. The winger had enough time to stop the puck and make a clean play after that which set up the an extended O-Zone time.
Hey what day were you on stl radio? I'd love to listen. I love your analysis. Even as a Blues fan lol
The Blues have a very bright future.
Chuckie The Trash Panda
On the penalty after the offside, yes that’s in the rule book that the penalty stands
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the Jets fan base over this series. It’s been a little heated but there’s a lot of respect there
solid commentary! liked and subscribed.(stl)
Great sports commentary. We have had a lot of good commentary over the decades in St. Louis and I am impressed with you. If you get by us in game 7 I will be pissed but good luck to you all.
I would hope DeMelo comes out and has a game of his life or one that redifines his career as he can't go out on that note as that will kill a career…! Don't let yourself down Dylan; its 60 minutes….
Blues fan heard you on radio. Great coverage love the stuff just the wrong shade of blue back there 😂 good luck tomorrow I’ll folllow up either way
love the sentiment that goes into" combatants until the handshakes". Sportsmanship /respect, true athletes adhere
Toropchenko has enough syllables already. And Faksa is still pronounced Faksa.
Faksa hit scheifele pretty hard after the schenn hit also. I dont care what anybody says, the hits were clean
I’m a die hard blues fan, it’s a miracle that we’re even in the playoffs, but it’s even more amazing that we’re going to a game 7 against the president trophy winners. No matter what happens, I’m proud of these boys! Good luck on both sides!
Blues fan here, love your analysis.
Jared Faulk? 🤣
I just hope Bucky doesn't have the Yips now.
37 and 5 are in on a fixed game 7 outcome. I have ways of researching them without their knowledge. Watch Hellebuyck find ways to give up goals and Schenn is no differnt BOTH HAVE FAR MORE QUESTIONABLE PLAYS THAN ANY OTHER NHL PLAYERS IN 2025. ASK WHY
Rakeed racoon
Good info, looking forward to more material and hoping that you will also review draft prospects. I am an Avs fan and have little to look forward to in the upcoming drafts but I am always interested in the franchise building process.
The Blues are the best team in hockey right now. Unfortunate draw for Winnipeg.
Blues just seem more determined as the "underdog".
Enjoyed you're videos this series, can't say I'll watch if the Blues lose but I definitely will if they move on. Either way keep doing what you're doing, your breakdowns are something I look forward to.
Jets are pathetic. How did they win the PT? CH is a playoff joke as a tender
Blues fan, VERY interested in hearing your commentary on games that don’t feature the Blues as obviously I’m biased. But you do not seem biased at ALL your commentary is incredible. You have deep hockey intelligence. I’m learning a lot listening to you. I will probably continue to listen to you even when you’re not talking Blues Jets.
Incredible
As a Blues fan, I'm going to throw out Twister as a name for the trash panda! Thanks for the continued commentary and analysis Ryan. Bang up job!
18:00 unreal. disgraceful
I nominate Puck Bandit as the name for your trash panda logo.
Period 1 down in Game 7……. LGB!!!!!!
Blues fan from the St. Louis area. I’ve enjoyed your videos because you break down everything regardless of team bias.
I can say that we feel a kinship as a middle of the country city that gets overlooked by the larger coastal cities.
After the handshakes, I hope only the best for Winnipeg!!
Go leafs go!
