The Calgary Flames are still in a transitional period and are working toward building a true Stanley Cup contender. The Flames are not looking to make premature moves like signing Sam Bennett or Nikolaj Ehlers to long terms deal. There is no sense in locking up more 27+ year old in long term deals. Yo have enough of those already. The Flames must be careful in free agency and when re-signing their RFAs. The decisions they make now will impact the team that is on the ice when Scotia Place opens.

My question would be, who is the right choice that helps the flames ‘mini’ rebuild and free agents still want to come?
Why do big ticket FAs want to come?
At the same time, does the flames have the assets to be competitive in a conference against Avs, Stars, Vegas, Jets?
It be interested to see what Flames choose to go.
