The contract problem started with JT’s contract IMO. He was the guy that was brought in to teach the young studs how to win for big money.
All he thought them was how to get paid and how to play hockey his style.

The biggest mistake the Leafs organization made with Shanahan as President is the hiring of Kyle Dubas. From that point alot of mistakes were made starting with hiring the coach Sheldon Keefe.

People hate Marner so much, they just can't stand anything good about the guy and so comment about Kyper defending Marner. Like heaven forbid Kyper not be exactly like all of the fanbase. Like all the media. Like all of the online discourse. We get it: everyone hates Marner. Don't worry, he's leaving. Marner is not coming back. But then when the team has a first round exist next season, you're going to have to start asking yourself… "Well, who do I blame now?" … and when the core four is aged out and you're still losing… who do you blame then? Because the only think that hasn't changed… is the market… How many former Leafs have left Toronto and gone on to win cups and see success? Kadri? Hyman? Kessel? Bunting? Over and over we see players leave the Toronto market and find huge success… maybe… the market is is the problem. Maybe the fans and media are the problem. They insist they aren't but looking at past players thrive elsewhere makes you wonder.

Love the show but i turned it off at 36 min. When Kipper starts yelling over his co host to defend Marner over really random bs its unlistenable and honestly embarrasing.
Nick, I you’re absolutely bang on !!! Mark would have built a team like the panthers. Biggest mistake ever by Shannaha, he wanted a puppet and Dubuis was the guy. I’ve said year after year. Mark was the man for the job.

You can’t fire a GM after 2 years especially when more than half the cap was committed before he even arrived. Just make the president the guy in charge of sponsorships season tickets broadcast rights like most teams. You don’t need two head hockey guys.
