Pacioretty hit on Barkov – Tough Call Review

Max Pacioretty caught Aleksander Barkov from behind. There was no call on the play and the Leafs scored less than 30 seconds later.

  1. Refs couldn't make that call with the Leafs on the ropes. They also missed an obvious trip on Reinhart when he cuts to the net. They made the mistake of showing on the replay and the biased announcers had nothing to say.

  2. I think you yourself mentioned in a few of your reviews that the NHL isn't calling hits from behind anymore. Barkov collides with the boards, but he's not hit into the boards here. I don't see the argument for a boarding penalty.

  3. Dirty Panthers like to dish it out but they dont like it back. That was clean compared to what Dirty Panthers dish out.

  4. Panther fans: "anything is on the table as long as we win"

Also Panthers fans: "that shouldve been called"

  5. In the regular season that likely would be called as a 2 min boarding penalty. I'm interested in why a head shot forearm by Mikkola on Jarnkrok, knocking his helmet off & he to the ice, when the puck was nowhere near Jarnkrok wasn't called back in the 1st period. Oddly, later on Mikkola drives Jarnkrok into the boards, knocking his helmet off again & this time it's called. If you're not consistent as a referee, you're a joke. Both were penalties, but only one called. Rodrigues ran into Woll in the 3rd for no reason other than to knock him down & that also went uncalled. I don't get it.

  6. If bennett didnt get the vin for targetting the head of the Leafs #1 tendy, i dont think there should be another call all series. Save your breath Tough Call

  7. Wow. That’s a clear cut boarding penalty. Dirty leafs strike again. One day not holding my breath the leafs will play a clean game. Yeah right.

  8. Lets dress revo, one shift in front of flordas net. Do your worst revo. Eye for an eye bonnet

  9. From this angle it's not clear that Barkov hit the boards, and definitely not violently if he ended up touching the boards. You can call something but boarding is a reach.
