Byram would be fine, but we need to talk more about JJ Peterka this offseason. He is the most underrated young player in the NHL, and if there is any chance he can be had without costing us offer sheet picks he should be priority number 1.
He flirted with a point per game at 23 years old on the Sabres, is one of the best forecheckers in the league, and would fit with Bedard perfectly. Everyone wants to sign Knies to an offer sheet when Peterka just outscored him handily on a way worse team.
Byron to SJ
I would shy away from Korchinski, TOR 1st, a 2nd for Byram/JJ. Open to the picks and inserting different defensemen…maybe adding Dach, but don't trade away the 20 year old Dman that has A TON of time to prove himself. He could be Byram. Doubtful Kaiser/EDM/LC/Allan become a KK or Byram.

Kaiser is better than Byron. wake up
Allan, Korchinski, and Toronto first for Byram and JJ. Kaiser and EDM can be the third pair.

People tend to forget that Nazar was right there with Cooley in their draft. Then he got injured. Nazar should of been a top 5 pick

I wanted Byram in that year's draft. I think it would bring added competition to the young core.
