Just as i suspected…Carolina is here cuz of a terrible division & ridiculously easy path. Easiest ive seen in 30 yrs of watching the NHL. To be fair it's not Carolinas fault-its the ridiculous & unfair NHL playoff format. Im Colorado fan & i believe all 6 eliminated West teams + TB,& Toronto would be in ECFs if they got to play Carolinas joke of a path.NJ is mediocre WHEN HEALTHY-which they weren't close to & I suspected all season long Washington was largely fraudulent.
While the Central,& Atlantic just kill each other-a team who wouldn't make it out of 1st round anywhere else-is beneficiary of JV side of the bracket. No coincidence Carolina got swept in 2023,& 19 ECFs.(& 2009) 13 straight losses in conf finals. Thats ALMOST worse than our 8 straight losses in game 7s. You can tell TNT is hoping for the best but knows it'll be a short series cuz defending champs are up against like 9th or 10th best team in NHL.Possibly even a little lower actually.
