FULL EPISODE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnbRbFhJ_HU&t=7s

Ryan Coogler’s deeply personal connection to his new film “Sinners” stems from the profound influence of his uncle, whose life experiences shaped the emotional core of this highly anticipated release. 1. I love movies about the 20s and 30s gives me an opportunity to see how my Grandparents had to live back then RG definitely brought me back in time to 1932

  2. Yo Matt Barnes im Chris Barnes, I think we cousins for that reason I always rooted for you cause you never been soft and you rep Barnes name in a strong way peace !!!!

  3. Everybody keeps talking about the potential spinoffs, but no one mentions Daisy (Bo & Grace's daughter) in any of them.

  4. I’m honestly surprised by how inarticulate Ryan Coogler is. Not because of his Oakland accent, but because he genuinely struggles to express himself clearly in interviews. You can have an accent, use AAVE and still communicate clearly and effectively. He’s hard to follow and his thoughts feel scattered and incomplete.

What’s fascinating is the contrast. He’s an exceptional visual storyteller. His films are rich, layered, and emotionally resonant. He communicates so powerfully through cinema. It’s such an interesting juxtaposition: someone who can convey profound meaning and complexity through film but doesn’t articulate those same ideas as clearly in conversation.

It really speaks to how communication comes in many forms and how mastery in one mode doesn’t always translate to another.
