  1. I guess now that not getting a contract extension after the winning season was a red flag, either management or Tocchet was not convinced with the core.

  2. Ahhhhh…..there it is, calling us the outside noise again! Well let me tell you Tocc without this "outside noise" you wouldn't have had a friggin head coaching job!……………….SIGH

  3. Toch gave his all to this sad sack franchise until the last day of his contract. He’s no quitter. Nothing but respect for him.

  4. I think the mistake was made when Pettersen was given the new franchise player contract without fully considering the full depth of his character and his commitment to doing whatever it takes to continue to develop his overall fitness and hockey skills each offseason as Hughes does.

  5. Respect to Tocchet, he had so little to work with during the 2024 run, not his fault the 5th highest paid NHL player decided to ghost on him for 13 playoff games, just like 1st highest paid Auston Matthews. Top 5 paid but overpaid and overrated centers when everything is on the line.
Of course he's going to say EP40 will bounce back, Canucks fan are so unhinged online and are a guilty until proven innocent fanbase, you never know if they will start sending him and his family death threats like they did to Garland, when he followed a politician or when Miller dressed up as a girl for Halloween. While players like Bennett and Tkachuk are about to see 3 finals in a row and already have 1 cup, Canucks franchise have 0 in 55 and are stuck with Virtanen and Juolevi, who they drafted over them cause grew up in a 'toxic' family 😂

  6. He knows Quinn is leaving. The team won't be good without Quinn for a long time. Tocc just got out in front of it.

  7. Gonna miss Toch. Always honest and never shies away from tough questions and situations. Wish he would've stayed, but glad we at least got Foote to stick around

  8. Good riddance. He had one good year and jumps ship once things went south. He’s a quitter. Have fun with the dumpster fire in Philly.

  9. Get's all the credit for the good season, but none of the flack for the bad season. Make it make sense.

  10. Most of Floridas players arw bangers
    Unlike ours.
    Love Tocchet
Cant blame him for leaving Drama filled Vancouver
And not to be so negative but I don't see any high level players come here
Tocchet would have signed in Vancouver if this Management group had offered him a contract last year but once his dream job came open in Philly obviously he was going to leave
    I would!

  11. Nah. I am excited to see what Adam Foote can bring to the team. Like Tocch said he is good at building relationships. People underestimates sometimes how important a good working relationships in having a productive team. Even until today Tocc doesnt shy away in comparing Petey to Mcdavid. They should have just hired Mcdavid if that is the case. Tocc doesnt understand not all people are Mcdavids and you gotta play with your strength. And besides does he think Florida players play like Mcdavid? Never thought Petey slows the game down. In fact he is the type that attacks right away and doesn’t like to wait until the defence can set up and get their footing. He is unpredictable and always one step ahead of the game. That is why creative players like Kuzmenko had a really good chemistry with him. When Tocc implemented dump and chase, Petey seemed lost and doesn’t know what to do with the puck. He hesitated his moves. He is not the dump and chase guy at all. And Tocch wasted his talent by insisting him to play that style.

  12. Just a stand up guy! Can't blame him and wishing him all the best in Philly. He got a great contract too! 💰💰💰
