It’s that time of year again! The Toronto Maple Leafs have been officially eliminated from the 2025 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs by the Florida Panthers.
The Maple Leafs season ends in another Game 7 Heartbreak in the second round, in front of their home crowd against a former Stanley Cup Champion. Like in previous years, the Maple Leafs found new and creative ways to lose hockey games and failed to meet lofty expectations, therefore, the team’s season ends on another major letdown with the team getting booed by their own fans. The Florida Panthers will advance to the Eastern Conference Final for a 3rd straight year, while the Leafs return to an annual visit to the golf course as they commence their offseason. In this video, I will evaluate the Maple Leafs postseason, giving three reasons why they failed again (as usual) in the playoffs, and discuss the franchise’s outlook for this offseason in the coming summer months.
