  1. Especially the company that owns the Toronto Maple Leafs I used to work for that company so you have to be very careful and choose your words wisely. Chief handle that in a professional manner again especially the company that owns MLSE or the majority owners I should say.

  2. Your surprised the coach said he’d like to see them back? What if he said no and then Treliving resigned them? Crazy that you don’t get it

  3. And in fairness to this team, as much as they make you on a run headfirst into oncoming traffic, we didn't get a full season with them. That's the part where I'm thinking that Mitch may be back. If I was him I would not want to play in this town but I think his pride and ego will get the better of him and he may take a cut or a hometown discount and come back. Right now I don't care either which way. Just bring the damn cup back to Canada. Oilers may end up doing that

  4. Hockey is made for the cold and I am an island boy, it's sickens me to see places where it doesn't snow winning the cups. What the heck does hockey mangoes coconut and bananas have to do with each other?

  5. Great people! So who cares if they lose. Marchant is saying Toronto fan's are to hard on the core 4, Boston fans traded his ass and he won a cup and took a paycut for them

  6. I understand it, but the Leafa PR training might actually be a real issue. It allows the players, coach, management hide behind garbage answers. If I were president, I would scale back the fake PR narratives.

  7. 3:15 FINALLY someone brings this into the open! I always thought there's some bad snowstorms (I used predictive text for that) happening behind the scenes.

  8. To all that say we went to round two to face Florida remember they were defending the champs from last year. But as a 50 plus year fan this team is not playoff ready where in the world was reaves why not have him in the bench to send a message to Florida like hey mess with us again and he will kick your ass. It’s time once again to rebuild . Can you imagine what we could get for Mathew’s or Marner. We could get a seasoned vet some toughness from other teams and a few first for this. I still think they could have won game seven if maybe those 3 breakaways would have gone in!! But like every other year since the Gilmore days or the Mars era we just can’t get over the top. Hate to have a team rebuild but this team sucks does not work and yes we need help but this team is not a playoff team and won’t be wtg its core four doing nothin serious when needed they just sat in the bench wondering why they got smoked by Florida. Did you see their faces on the bench they looked like oh hell here we go again we can’t win the big games .This at one time would make me sad but this time makes me mad. Sorry Toronto you need tough players who give 100 percent not millions to do nothing. If we don’t change the core four then they can say four on the course.

  9. The problem isn't the fans, and it isn't all on the players. The mainstream media is the big problem. They push narratives, they make shit up to create a story, and they dig into players personal lives that real fans don't give a sh*t about. It's hilarious watching these media clowns cry for change when we never seem to get change in the people being the communicators between the team and fans. Why does Steve Simmons still have a job? That goof is the one who spent an entire off-season telling us about Auston "Pants Drop Gate" and cried about Auston spending COVID lockdown with Freddy Andersen. WHO THE FK CARED ABOUT THAT SHIT? This media has driven players out of town. The media rile up the fans with rumors or personal opinions, than say they were from reliable sources. Get rid of the MS Media and start letting the podcasters in the locker rooms, they have the derect connection to the actual fan bases.

  10. THE LEAFS WERE READY TO LOSE 6-1.PERIOD. BREAK THAT TEAM UP AND REBUILD…..UNLESS YOU WANT THE SAME THING TO HAPPEN NEXT YEAR.

  11. I've been a Leaf fan all my life – I'm 62. I have two Mitch Marner jerseys. He's a great player who gets us to the playoffs. There's something psychological going on in that dressing room.

  12. ITS FUNNY TO SEE THE LEAFS AND THEIR FANS MELT DOWN……LOL. THERE ARE 2 TEAMS IN PRO SPORTS THAT I ENJOY SEEING THEM SHIT THE BED MORE THAN MY TEAM WINNING…..THE NEW YORK YANKEES AND TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS……I'M REALLY ENJOYING THIS!!!
    GO HABS GO!!!

  13. We have the skill and character, but sorry Craig not enough toughness cause if we did have it there would have been an answer for stolarz concussion and the panthers wouldn’t be running Woll every other game and some panthers players would have sustained some injuries. Not having enough toughness was a major component to failure in my opinion! Get some dogs next year please!

  14. Dude, the reason why there are so few statues of Stanley Cup winners in Toronto is because only five members of the 1967 team are still alive. And Pete Stemkowski didn't make the cut.

  15. Yup. The presser presentation/availabilty about as smooth as a leafs game 7 and about as respectful to fans as well. This org is in need of a management person who knows how to truly do a good job at this stuff. Gotta spend the price increases.

  16. Too bad there is not a way to rip Rogers away from ownership. Sportnet leaves a ton to be desired in presenting the NHL, and Leafs have been allowed to do what they do for last 4 years. Typical of monopoly-mindset entrepreneurship. LEAFS NATION, STOP BUYING THE MERCH.

  17. There only gonna tell leaf fans what they want to hear not much this media shit is crap explaini what there crap sorry run it back idiot's that what u do

  18. Another year where the team that does the LTIR strategy wins, surprise surprise lol and guess who scores game 7 Seth Jones the guy they acquired at the deadline with the 8.7 million in cap relief wow. And to add salt to the wound Matthews looked hurt all year lol what are we doing?

  19. Love Marner, a very good player….its a team sport, do not blame him. The team did not shop up in game 7. A pretty good year guys, thank you. Game 7 not so much. Why? Well did the coach get them going in the game when needed? We have a good team but not great, yet….Marner, Mathews puts up big points in the season….love them both…but where was the team effort, hunger, want, aggression, grit….. in game 7? I saw some floaters, no hunger, grit…….Reilly floats way to much….to many giveaways… No team effort, passion, hunger in game 7…Players, coach…? Look at Carolina? Hunger, speed, grit every shift??? Why? Win or learn. We have good team, not great yet….keep at it guys.

  20. All you whiny Leaf fans… come on now, the cup is well over half full. as a fan since the early 70s when it was almost impossible to be a fan because we were a Bottom dweller indefinitely, with very very little to cheer for… This is a wonderful problem to make the playoffs for the 9th straight Year and have our second series win in 3 years. This is probably the most exciting Team I can ever remember watching, partly due to my failing memory, but also because we have one of the best Goal scorers in league history, and one of the best starting goalies I think since Belfor.

I hope we're able to add a bit more depth in scoring and grit somehow. But this team is an exciting competitive team to watch, and although it hurts to lose that way… without Stoli's injury I think we take that series. Let's celebrate a fun successful season now.

  21. Why can’t talk of injury there out of playoffs nothing to hide here just another leaf management not being truthful to fans and why after 9 seasons it’s same old in playoffs can’t just be players it goes deeper management front office take a bow to

  22. Im also so tired of this cliche "only 1 team is happy,& if you lose your last game you are disappointed." Of course thats true & as a player in the immediate aftermath of elimination it probably feels the same no matter when you lose. Hell losing a conference final or Final might feel worse than losing early. But as time goes by im sure most of them can put it into perspective. And i think most reasonable fans can definitely put it into perspective. Injuries, your opponent,& whether you overachieved or underachieved have to play into it. When my Avs lost last yr-with like 5 dudes hurt, still below average goaltending,& Nichuskin suspended(we have best record in the nhl over like 4 or 5 yrs when hes playing,& way worse when hes not)-I wasnt even upset. I didnt think we had the depth or goaltending to make a run & gut punch of Nichuskin getting suspended again-i was proud of them for taking a stacked,& basically healthy Dallas to 2OT of game 6.

This yr its so much different. Yes cuz its 1st round but thats largely the dumb NHL setup. We shouldve been playing LA,& WPG under a more fair 1-8 setup. But its more HOW you lost. Gagged away 3 late leads-& a ridiculous game 7. After mgt went all in & gave us the best center depth in the NHL & arguably best forward depth weve had in the cap era. Then Dallas is missing 2 friggin All stars. Id be much more forgiving of my team if Heskinen & Robertson werent hurt. And its also cumlative as Toronto fans know full well. If you guys had just got to 2nd round,& battled the defending champs to 7 in say 2020-itd feel much different than today after so many close calls you couldnt close. Also losing like we did is much more painful. But losing your last 2 home games 6-1 is far more embarrassing & makes ta question their effort,& will to win. I question my teams resilience but not effort or will to win. When i look at my Nuggets-just fired their coach, gave 2 starters beat up,& probably shouldnt even be playing…beat a Clippers team i think is more talented,& gave 68 win OKC a 7 game battle-of course im disappointed but not upset with the team at all.

How you lose, what point of the playoffs you lose,& the circumstances surrounding injuries & stuff DO MATTER-I dont care what anybody says. And if Toronto finally beoke their ECF drought or went to the Finals as i think you would have had you beat Florida-i think most fair fans would consider that a successful run-though youd feel disappointed they fell short of a title again. My Avs didnt have to win a Cup this year-just dont give away the series vs a compromised team. I would've considered losing to Edmonton in WCFs a good run-though id be disappointed. But the culmative game 7 losses do make it worse. And rarely coming through when it matters most for like 7 yrs. Obviously we son 1 so its way sorse gor you guys. But i feel like Toronto,& Colorado have playoff underachieved as much as any teams in 2020s. You have none but we have 1 WCF. Edmonton has 3,Dallas & Vegas 4 or 5,& that does matter. Its not so simplistic as 1 team wins,& the team who loses the Finals is as big of failure as non playoff teams or playoff teamz that underachieved.

  23. what's really amazing ,is no one picked up on what type of player mathews would be ….6'3 200+ lbs ,,,chose to play in the weakest pansey league in 'swisherland' instead of playing slobber knocking hockey ,in Canadian jr. or in the USJHL, …. THAT'S ALL I NEEDED TO KNOW

  24. Omg he’s so small Marner eat some pasta gain 20 lbs in off season and lift weights jeez take steroids do something to put muscle mass on no wonder you hit him he falls
