  1. I will root forever for a team that comes out and tries. These Leafs, this Core tries when they feel like it. They come out in important games like this series Games 5 and 7, and just float, lifeless and emotionless, like it's a pre-season game. I can't root for that anymore.

I'd rather the Leafs be a team that always tries and doesn't get to the playoffs than this.

  2. mitch marner please.. we need you in the rangers. Also – tavares is a heart and a half. He is awesome. At his age doing what he does is repsectable. Also Nylander is a true star. He really had the skill and the will to almost take over games. As a person that sees how well a market like new york rangers has done with much much less. Which has been better than the leafs, I would recommentd. Get rid of marner, Get rid of Austen Mathews and go after new set of players that mesh well with each other's style. New york rangers is a perfect example – they have done much much more with less money. Panarin is a very well paid player and he only makes 10-11 million usd. And he is the highest paid player in that team. wow!

  3. this is payback for the arrogance of the toronto fan base, constantly trying to say all of edmonton’s best players really want to be on toronto’s team. canada is not just toronto, now maybe you know it. finally.

  4. Its not about losing, its how the team lost. Year after year they completely blow the series on a game or two they decide not to compete. This year they never competed in game 5 or 7. Ironically they were both at home games.

  5. Objectively funny that people claim Sportsnet has a "Leafs bias" when most of their Leafs posts are literally just porn for guys that hate the Leafs

  6. The coddled leafs did exactly what they do best. Not show up in the playoffs. I might be wrong but I don't think Matthews even had a shot on goal in game 7. He deserves to be captain about as much as I deserve to play in the NHL. Zero passion to win and zero killer instinct. That's just who they are.

  7. Austin talked about "passengers" what i saw was about 50 million in passengers. When the two Max's are your best players, come on time for big changes.

  8. Marner and Nylander are to similar, one needs to go. Trade Marner our Nylander. Both great players but need to be protected like Kane in Chicago. Leafs seem to pick up injured veterans who with therapy can still perform. But it looks like teams trade injuries to Toronto that have completed long physically demanding runs. Florida is a top notch team and the Leafs looked like a team with to many over paid players leading to lack of balance in the lineup. And the highest paid players can’t get it done due to size strength will determination injuries and the mental state of the Teams mind. A positive, we do get to see some great line ups in TO and Hyman and Kappy are making a run. Kessel Bozak Kadri have cups. So the talent level is high in TO but the lineup has missing pieces.

  9. We are closer than we have ever been in my lifetime. Good job leafs thank you for the amazing year. Florida has an unfair advantage due to income tax. They are a hell of a team and you took them to 7.

  10. Oh my God! Really? You don't know why they keep losing? It's the Harold Ballard curse! The Lafs will not win until the playoffs of 2090 has happened. There is no chance for the Lafs to win until after 2090. Yeah unfortunately anyone born before 2000 has a very small chance of seeing the cup being lifted. C'est la vie.

  11. The culture of Leafs Nation is too short-range. It will not accept pain as the necessary condition to build a winner over time. Hence they experience more pain, just like a person delaying a painful surgery or an economy that keeps pushing inflation down the road.

  12. Just fold the team, no cup in 50+ is a joke. Generations of fans have come and passed. Biggest waste of money in the NHL

  13. It's ridiculous that the Leafs got booted out again. I feel like the Leafs don't deserve to get eliminated. They deserve to be in the Eastern Conference Finals facing off with the Hurricanes instead of going home empty handed

  14. One thing they need to do is get rid of that bum american so called star that is as soft as a puppy's belly in the playoffs. I don't know if it is true but one of the sports shows said he scored more goals in his NHL debut than he did in the playoffs.

  15. Panthers are a good team. Toronto only won 1 out of 4 games against the Panthers during the regular season. What did you expect? Did you expect the Panthers, the reigning Stanley Cup champions to lose? This was a tough climb for the Leafs. The better team won.

  16. this year was the way it happened… two 6-1 games…
im convinced the panthers let them win game 6 to humiliate them at home in game 7.

  17. The last part of this piece should've been set to Hans Zimmer's infamous Stampede piece from The Lion King. I just need to hear his music from the movie. Like the notes from the part where Scar has had it with Mufasa after saving his son Simba from the stampede. "Long! Live! The King!"

  18. Toronto fans will replace all of their discarded merchandise and embrace a hike in ticket prices and continue supporting this golden egg that never has to produce

  19. Who would feel motivated to play in front of a fanbase who are so intensely upset that they abuse players on social media. It's the fault of podcasters like Steve Dangle that they lose. Who screams like a spoilt child when they don't get what they want?

  20. I don’t feel bad for the leaf fans at all they deserve to see this team fail nonstop after they made fun of the oilers and their fans for over a decade the leaf fans deserve this a lot leaf fans always say the team is great during the regular season then the playoffs start and they are dog water

  21. Leafs have so hard time admitting Panthers were better. This breakdowns come from unrealistic expectations, Toronto is not a SC champ team, never was. Get over it.

  22. The leafs have changed everything they possible could about the team these past 60 years of abject failure. What's the ONE constant? The FANS and the MEDIA. Stop gaslighting the Hockey world, Toronto, look in the mirror and admit your the issue.

  23. Thanks for the good season, can´t wait to next season. Please, make Woll watch videos of Ken Dryden (standup goalie), all summer long. At start of new season and first game against the Phanthers, someone should do to Bennett and company, what they did to Storaz, that was the difference, stop blameming each other.

  24. The Leafs' Curse continues for 58 years. Let's not make it 59, or even 60. This video tells us why the Leafs are the most cursed NHL team.

  25. At this point how can you cry? All you need to do is just wonder how they’ll one up their patheticness year after year. Also you’re right about Toronto sports being an absolute disgrace at the moment. The only competent franchise is the Argos. Also funny you feature the Raptors and not the Blue Jays.

  26. This trend is going to continue indefinitely until my idea of representative hockey is implemented. Like the Olympics, geographic regions should field teams of those who are from the various regions. The Leafs should get first draft, along with Ottawa, of all players from Ontario. The Canadiens should get first pick of all players from Quebec, and the Panthers & Lightnings should get first drafts of all players from Florida. THIS would be MUCH fairer and more interesting hockey. And the Leafs would probably finally start winning cups again! The present system is totally arbitrary. The Leafs and all current NHL teams have NOTHING to do with their associated cities, other than where their home games get played. The players are certainly not from Toronto, nor even Ontario. Players are routinely traded away anywhere. The WHOLE TEAM can be sold & re-located elsewhere to the highest bidder! What's "Toronto" about them? Presently, nothing! REP hockey, such as played in minor leagues or International hockey & Olympics is the best way to go, and the ONLY way in today's huge league that Toronto will ever win another Stanley Cup in our lifetime (except for pure luck)….

  27. Boohoo 31 other teams go through the same misery every year. Leafs aren’t owed anything. They’re not destined for anything. They’re just another team in the league that happens to get covered to death by the media.

  28. Now us OILER fans have to listen to Chris Cuthbert instead of our dynamic Jack Michael's play-by-play, because the Leafs lost, and some IDIOT from ROGERS thinks Toronto is the "center of the Universe" ; so they put TORONTO'S play-by-play guy in. How boring; win a series for once Toronto so we can listen to our OWN guy!!!

  29. YEAH WELL WHO SAW THIS COMING hope is what they give you leaf fans have been sold a bill of goods by an organization run by profiteers ENTERTAINMENT is their business and you keep buying into what they're selling so who's the fool here
