Brockbuster at six years, 8.5. Pia Sudter at five year, four, excuse me, four years at five million. And Derek Forbert at two years, 1.5 million. Which of those contracts are you signing? Which of those are you walking away from? Uh, walking away from Brock. That cap’s too high. I don’t think he’s an eight half million dollar player. Uh, walking away from Sudter. I would do four times four, but a five million million dollar capit for a player that up until this year was mostly a 15 goal guy is just too expensive. And this team, my concern is they they already have so much money committed to players that aren’t full-time top six options, right? They’re paying Dakota Joshua uh 3.25. They’re paying Philip Pedal just shy of four and a half million. Drew Oconor makes two and a half. Nils Hoglander makes three million. At a certain point, that’s an inefficient way of building your roster. How are you going to have enough cap space to go big game hunting and get the sort of true top of the lineup differencemakers you need? So four years times 5 million for PS. As much as I I love him as a player, I would walk away from that. And if you give me one year times 1.6, I would do that for Forbert. For once I agree.
Allvin said the offers for Boeser were surprising (low), no need to throw anywhere near that contract at him. I wouldn't offer him a dime over DeBrusk.
Its too bad..losing all these players. The truth is they haven't been a playoff team for a long time. Which..points to rebuild. Theyre a mushy middle to bottom level team now with an underperforming core (not Hughes) who theyre going to lose anyway. Joshua didnt look the same, who can blame him? Others stepped up in contract year (seen that before)..underperforming guy after inking huge deal (again, seen it) in Pettersson. Now this capspace issue. Overpaying for free agents just to fill a roster? Theyre going to have to figure it out because the place is going to demand new ownership soon, if they haven't already.

Boeser is no more than a 7m player. Maybe 7.5. Sutter is not worth more than 4. Forbort should be league minimum.
