on on the tip on the tip goal that you get, are you just doing a fly by just hoping to to get a stick on it there? I mean, I saw RJ was uh ready to shoot. Uh so I tried to get a screen and he Yeah. shot it perfect so I can get a stick on it too. So it was good. Love scoring goals, but you won two battles with that defenseman Russ. got yourself to the net, kept the play line alive. Is that almost more fun for you to win those battles and get that goal than maybe scoring one? Yeah, sure. I mean, when you win a couple battles, four battles, and then end up in the net uh for important goal uh before uh the third period. So, it was uh it was great. It felt good. How surprised were you on your breakaway attempt that you were that open? Yeah. No, I I I knew it. But it was uh I was trying to do some fancy uh I can’t say that probably. But yeah, but we had Yeah, we had like 13 days here. So, I’ve been have a lot to to try and I had one thing I I scored like it’s been 100% but I couldn’t make it happen on the game. Is that what you were trying to do? No, I can’t. What What kind of changed when you know Leo switched on the lines? Yeah. Uh I mean yeah just uh I think he did game one too putting no we scored and uh you know you can get some different looks I think uh for for Laval too uh to maybe they have to think different and uh yeah just good when you’re stuck sometimes to get some different looks I think like on the bench even when you fell behind for you two what what were you guys like on the bench was it still a lot of positivity and a lot of Yeah. I think it felt better today. You know, we we felt like we’re playing good and you know, it’s it’s a long series. It’s going to be a long series and you just have to do the right play every every shift and it’s going to pay off. So, I think we had try to have that mentality even though we were down. But yeah, good job today. Fighting through what seemed like at times a tackle football game to fight through all that and to come out there for a team that was really kind of you were leaning on them, but they just tried to punch and grab and hold their way through it. What does that say about this team again to have the resiliency? No. Uh, great. I think we show that in in the series against Syracuse, too. That was the whole series. just grab and hold and fight through checks and uh just uh yeah uh you got to do whatever it t takes to to win this game. So I think we did that today win uh yeah I mean yeah uh to be honest uh it’s uh we haven’t talked about it but but it’s like it’s three games in Laval. It’s uh a hard ring to play in. Uh but we’re good. Uh we’re good away and uh it’s going to be fun. What was the atmosphere like tonight? Uh you know this is uh what you play for the whole year just uh these moments uh are the best. So it was great. Yeah. What has made your team a good road team this year? Uh, I think just uh like play play uh uh have good p like puck play uh p game management uh and know that we’re on the road uh and you’re not going to be even though we’re a really good offensive team, you’re not going to have maybe chances every every shift on the road. You have to to just do the hard work and it’s going to come. And I think that’s what we’ve been doing good on the road. So trying to keep that going. How many how many I don’t know I don’t follow how many bullies got that shot a year. Yeah, I don’t know. Uh not many. I don’t think many in NHL can do it to either. And you know when when Dunner screens hit as well, it’s impossible. So, uh great job. Great shot at 2 when the start coming over to Yeah, he tells me he he tried to pass it, but I don’t believe that. I don’t believe that. Don’t worry. When you see go to I mean what’s that’s a hell of a pass. Yeah. Yeah. No, for sure. Uh you know Russ is uh uh probably you mean the when he scores there? Yeah. Ruse is you know he he never shoots. He’s a great passer. So uh yeah just a great pass and you know we’re used to see that with Russ now. It’s good.
