Lars Eller’s first NHL goal – Nov 5, 2009

I’m a bit late to the party, but here’s a vid of Lars Eller’s first NHL goal (in his first NHL game), against the Calgary Flames on November 5, 2009.

Lars Eller was drafted 13th overall by the St. Louis Blues in 2007.

yea…. too bad he just got traded. Everyone knows the blues future captain is OSHIE!!!!

  2. WTF?? Fuck it! I want Halak back! Thats a rip off. Worst trade ever, even more than Roy and Ribeiro! And the worst thing is that if we traded Price instead, the Blues would have added Peron in the deal! What a mess!! WTF is wrong with you Pierre? OMG!!!

  3. @514HouseKiller Are you an idiot? He's a prospect, he's 21. He's a good snipr, good shot. Definitly are good future 2nd liner center. Halak might flop, remember Jose Theodore's Vezina year? Everything can happen, plus we're saving probably 2M on salary cap because of this(Halak even being a RFA will ask for 3-4M) this giving us enough for Plekanek pay increase or Marleau. It's a win win trade for both teams. I liked where Halak got us, but Good luck with St-Louis.

  4. For the Record, If you want Eller to give you 30 goals you're going to be disappointed. He's a physical, playmaking prospect first, goal scorer second. As a Blues fan, I'm disappointed to see Lars leave the Organization. He is a great two way talent with great wheels and an excellent pass. I could see him getting 30-40 assists next year if he plays with Cammalleri.

  5. prospect no prospect we traded a stable goaltender that brought the habs out of shit more than just once for 2 players that have yet to prove anything. We are also putting all the pressure on a goaler with the horrible reputation of crumbling under pressure. If we traded halak for salary space I hope TO GOD it's not to sign plekanek. I have a feeling this season will be one hell of a roller coaster ride, one that matches price's daily moods. Either way go gionta and cammalleri, fuck you gauthier

  6. Well judging by this video, at least we have now someone other than Gionta who'll stand in front of the net lol.

  7. @snowpro1992 not 5-6, he would of asked for 4.5 million max, habs couldnt pay that, anyway i think he Peaked at skill, compared to carey who is much younger and has as much experiences and more potential.

  8. I understand , they have to make hard choices and they decided to trade Halak.. but what pisses me is when I think that while Halak was being awesome in the net and the fans were starting to literally adore him, they were just happy he was gaining value for trade….

  9. @nagnog Yeah…"sewered". Good one. Fucking idiot. What if they had thrown 4 or 5 million at Halak and HE decided to shit the bed next year? Halak is not worth that based on a hot streak that lasted two playoff rounds. Don't get me wrong, I like Halak but the Habs have cap issues and Halak is NOT much better than Price. Lars Eller and Ian Schultz are good pick-ups. Schultz: 55PTS in 70GP and 150PIM as captain of the Calgary Hitmen. Lars Eller: 57PTS in 70GP with Peoria of the AHL. GREAT hands.

  10. @071tel Well, we want a big guy that we know he can do the job or at least who have played more than 7 games in the nhl. Lecavalier would have been a great deal 😀 Lars is not that big btw, only 195lb… O'byrne is kinda big at 220lb. Anyways, im just pissed off because i hate Price, i hate his attitude and seriously, Halak showed that he is better, more constant, and he keep his focus no matter what. Price always give up after a bad goal. I would have traded Price vs Perron. Period.

  11. @sebchan777 Eller is very good..part of the AHL allstar team..great season in AHL he had. Said to become a player of forsberg style..so yeah he is GOOD and will become great over time

  12. @nagnog Wow…yes…your comment is A LOT more intelligent than mine. You took a noun ("stain", Genius, in case you're wondering what a noun is) and added "fuck" to the front of it just to give it more punch. You sure showed me. All I did was lay down some stats and facts to prove a point. But you…you really took it to a whole other level with that one. Are your MENSA meetings weekly or is it twice a month?

  13. @WatchanShush absolutely. Price is a first pick, 5th overall. You don't even know Price and even less what you are talking about. Price is a good goalie, but he just can't handle the pression here in montreal. Thanks for your input tho.

  14. @Esara20 You obviously dont know what you are talking about. Yaro wasnt free agent, so he couldn't ask for anything. Price have a better value than Peron.

  15. @CONTRAHABS How bout all the pro-Price retards that hated Halak while he carried the Habs through the playoffs? Halak's better than that immature piece of shit known as Carey Price. Keep him in the AHL and let him develop. All Price can do right now is rack up a bunch of penalties cause he can't fucking keep calm. And LOL Price let in 4 goals in 6 shots last night!

  16. @merize9 I like how everyone turned on our playoff hero just cause he got traded away. Price was good last night, but he didn't win for us. Fleury won for us when he gave up that shitty goal in the last 2 minutes. People can talk about potential all they want but it's not going to get us a cup this year or the next. Yes Price can clutch a few games but he's inconsistent in the long run.

  17. @SkiFreeVictor He's pretty consistent for now, going with a shutout… but I don't understand the hate toward Halak either, I mean, he's on another organization now, not part of my team anymore, but he was great for us, and very humble too. Bipolar habs fans…

  18. @SkiFreeVictor I thoroughly hope you're eating your words now! 😉
Price has been the epitome of consistency this season. His stats have him tops in the league!

  19. @CheesePlow LOL yes I have. I've gained a lot of respect for Price since last season. I guess he just needed to play without the pressure of knowing Halak might be taking his #1 spot.

  20. @TheHockeyCentral Hey dumb ass, he works for the Blues, how impartial do you think they want him to be. Something tells me if he roots for the other team he'll be looking for a new job. BTW I believe he was born up in your neck of the woods.

  21. @micsir888 imagine 11 months from when you said this he gets 4 goals in 1 game the first by a canadian in 6 years i'm starting wonder if he can even win a cup for his team "wink wink"

  22. @max432156 Show me an announcer that doesn't show some sort of homerism. When you are employed by a sports franchise I don't think it would be very wise to bash your team or not show enthusiasm when they score a goal or make a good play. BTW John Kelly is from Ontario so does that now make him a non-homer?

  23. crazy how Lars played with Tj for his first goal, and then later they would play together for 5+ years with the caps and win the stanley cup
