  1. Laffy said he was fine right where he was ..when he heard Montreal was interested…so …a big NO ..Quinton Byfield….Mason McTavish …Sam Bennett …but No Laffy ..!!

  2. Horvat, Kadri or bust. All this is pissing in the wind anyway. We won't know until the draft and free agency what Hughes and these players want to do. I still don't think Mtl is a destination yet, especially with the taxes.

  3. That's a no for Lafrenier for me. At 33 I would rather not go for Nelson. We have too many picks and prospects not to go for a younger 2C through trade. Get a decent winger from the UFA to go with Demidov and the 2C we get. Keep the faith! Go Habs Go!

  4. 100% in for Laffy. Put Demidov on C and flank him with Laffy and Laine / Dach. He doesn't have bad stats for a guy that can't move past 2nd line and get zero powerplay time. Put him on a 2nd line in Montreal and it's already going to be an improvement for him. Then Demidov and him could work their way into becoming the first line over the years.

  5. you didn''t mention derpsaitl, and mccovid
    what about them ?
I think, it's better to draft or looking for waivers

lefanier is one of the problematic guys at rangers, if you're clever then you're not even mention that pos

  6. I want to win, no culture picks. Underachiever, hard pass. It's past the time to bloom age, Not a Centre or RD – double hard pass.

  7. No French Canadians younger than Carrier can possibly handle the pressure in Montreal. Remember what happened with Drouin. Lafreniere was never a fit…ever. Brock Nelson is a 2-way center. However, he will be 34 at the start of next season. I would greatly prefer Horvat over him.

  8. i honestly don’t like nelson… he’s already only a 56 point player and he’s 33. we’re a young team no need to get a “stop gap” might aswell overpay a bit more for a younger guy who we could hold onto for the long term

  9. Totally agree Josh……Lafreniere is an average player…….now that we know how H&G deal, we are going after much better players….

  10. …need one Maurice Richard type…one Guy Lafleur type…a Bob Gainey type…and one Ken Dryden type…will also accept a Patrick Roy type…

  11. Nelson isn't it. He just doesn't fit in with our age group and rebuild long term. We have all the chips to make a better move than this right now.

  12. I know you guys are trying to make content and looking at trades. But one thing that Kent Hughes stated that they will stick to the plan. Which means they won't rush their rebuild. I don't think Brock Nelsen at 33 is a fit. You might go for another center who is younger then you can talk about that. But the plan means that the team still needs to grow and we might even be younger next year. Hughes warned everyone about that. So be prepared for not a big free agent signing at center.

  13. There is simply NO WAY any trade will ever happen between us and the Rangers as long as Jeff Gorton is in our front office . None . It has been widely reported , including by Marco D'Amico , that their divorce was toxic and he and Chris Drury despise one another . Any report on a trade happening is a waste of time .
