Keep Mailloux !
Il love them both, Mailloux and Reinbacher. Hopefully, they both make the team next year and will not be traded. I think that Matheson and Hutson playing 25 minutes per match is a recipe for injuries.
Heineman plays less than 10 minutes per game: it's a disgrace. Give him 15 minutes.
Mailloux will, he's a stud.
I think it depends if we want an offensive defenseman on the team or a two-way defenseman. i would say rienbacker is better defensively, and mailloux is better offensively.
We trade Strubel and Matheson, to keep our best Defenders
Reinbacher has been injured all year, you can't bring him up next year, he still needs development and he could use more speed.
having 2 really good young RD who bring different styles is a good thing, if you move 1, you'll be looking for anoth 1 in 2 years. No pint, habs have no RD prospects other than those 2
Keep Logan he's got the tools
As of this moment I'm thinking keep Mailleux mainly because I'm more familiar with his game and accomplishments, especially with Reinbacher's injury history. BUT Reinbacher is really playing well and so I'm eager to see how he does next season hopefully a full season with no injuries….and…..both will be at training camp so that will be fun to see how they perform.
habs should dangle matheson to get a veteran 2c for short term in a pure hockey trade, i think next year we can have a better rfa crop to go after. give the RD spot to mailloux or reinbacher, if not both
sorry to say it but im team Reinbacher for the culture, he seems like a great kid.
Who would Marty prefer between Mailloux and Reinbacher? That's simple – which one is the smaller and least physical of the 2 – which ever one it is….that's Marty's man!
I like Mailloux if I had to choose. He doesn't have a bum knee, has a good shot, and can with sandpaper.
PS. Emil is a beast, i think he could break the top 6 and he likes to hit people.
I’d like to keep both D, sign a veteran D for insurance and see if our 16th, 2nd Rd, Hage and Engstrom could get you the 4th pick and we take Frondell or Desnoyers as the future 2nd line C.
Heineman should be on the second or third line. Unfortunately that injury set him back.
What if the cost of obtaining the 2 C requires one of Mailloux or Reinbacher?
Reinbacher is behind in development because of his injuries, but both will be good. 2C is the real need at the moment.
It's pretty clear 1 of those 2 will get the first crack at replacing Savard but if things go well enough, there's no reason at some point next season not to have both of them on the team. Hutson has made such tremendous progress throughout the season the absolute need to have a veteran with him has pretty much evaporated, He's (almost) the vet now ^^ .Guhle and Struble have been at times surprisingly good on that right side but they still would be better used on their natural left one. Reinbacher playing and meshing so well with Engström in Laval, no reason to doubt he could quickly form a solid pairing with Matheson first, or Hutson. Mailloux I feel, would be perfect with Guhle unless Martin prefers to have a super strong Guhle – Carrier duo that can pretty much shut down any line from any team, being ok with the other lines being slightly less balanced for a time.
Team Logan
Dont sleep on Engstrom
I want to keep Mailloux, the HABS have not had Sheldon Souray type since Shea Webber 🎉🎉🎉. Need that in the playoffs.
I don't want the Habs to have both Reinbacher and Guhle in their lineup because both of them are too injury prone. I would keep Mailloux because he's bigger, has more offense including a bullet of a shot, and plays mean. Those are all qualities the Habs D is missing right now.
Mailloux's gonna play in Montreal next year.
There isn't any way Mailloux/Reinbacher get traded unless you wanna patch 2C to reveal an issue on RD side.
Trade Arber Xhekaj and keep Mailloux.
Reinbacher develops at his own pace. Mailloux deserves to be with the big club next year for sure. No concerns whatsoever.
Jackeye and Logan, m the 3rd pairing. Let's do it.
Reinbacher is just a total package defensemen if he can stay healthy. He's a big body who can block shots, he can skate, pass, shoot, hit, he can score goals and make plays in the offensive and defensive zone and he battles hard in the corners. He is going to be a great fit for the habs.
As for Mailloux, I can see him taking the powerplay 2 spot for the habs when Matheson leaves (pls let it be this season) and fits in as a possible bottom pairing defensemen who can hit and score but has lapses in his defensive game that he needs to address before being a full time nhler. His skill is undeniable but he needs to fit into a role for the team and currently PP1 is Hutson's for the forceable future.
They better keep both our future RD studs, Reinbacher is going to be a top shut down dman and Mailloux is going to likely be the top scoring Dman I'm talking goals because Hutson is good at setting up goals but his shot is weak. Mailloux can hammer the puck and could be a 20 goal scorer.
Both! they will help in different ways, build// be pieces for the D growth >>> badly needed…
