1-on-1 with Kris Knoblauch as Oilers await conference final opponent

The Oilers have been playing some of their best hockey of the season at the right time but head coach Kris Knoblauch admitted that ‘there definitely was some uncertainty’ when it came to whether or not the team would be able to reach the level they are currently at now. Knoblauch also spoke to TSN’s Ryan Rishaug about how his goaltenders have handled their situations and how he is using his time wisely to prepare for either the Jets or Stars in the next round.

  2. Hope they dont slump after a little break? I should hope not. 82 games and the potential 14 more to get to this point… and you have to have a reminder not to slump? OMG. Just heal up as much as possible and come out on full roar mode… keep shutting down the opponent offense so the goalies can have confidence and wait for those mistakes of the opposition and then pounce.

  3. enjoyed this interview to see what coach KK has been up to. EDM has been catching fire at the right time. ekholm is considered a good possibility to return.

a lot of positives right now for the oilers heading into the WCF.

  4. some of the players that were missing the net are hitting the net more lately – so can keep practicing the shooting. also need to keep reminding the team to skate vs coast so are on the right side of the guys in the slot/ in position vs 3' away watching. just keep doing this
