🚨 Buffalo Sabres TRADE Bowen Byram To The Chicago Blackhawks? | NHL Trade Rumors
So, could the Buffalo Sabres be trading away Bowen Broom and JJ Purka to the Chicago Blackhawks this 2025 NHL off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from NHL trade rumors. The link to this article is down below in case you want to check out the entire thing for yourself. But this trade would see the Chicago Blackhawks receiving Bowen Byum, JJ Purka, and a 2025 first round pick that is number nine overall and the Buffalo Sabres receiving Lucas Reichel, Nolan Allen, Lauren Brris, and a 2025 first round pick that is third overall. So, this trade’s actually pretty intriguing if you ask me. Now, if you are the Blackhawks, this would be them trying to provide Connor Bernard with some more help offensively speaking by acquiring Purka as well as still staying in the top 10 of the draft this year where potentially they have their eyes set on someone who could slide a little bit. So, if the Blackhawks aren’t super set on drafting three overall and they’re fine with maybe their top nine or 10 prospects, then yes, I think trading back and getting back a legit topline or at least a top six winger. and JJ Purk who had a pretty awesome year this past year. It makes a lot of sense. Bowen Byum as well has shown potentials in the past or has shown potential in the past of potentially being like a top four defenseman. I still think his ceiling’s pretty high. It hasn’t quite happened so far in Buffalo, I would say. So maybe for him a change of scenery once again might not be a terrible thing. Now if you’re the Sabres, interesting trade. You’re moving up in the draft getting three overall. So if you like someone in your top three, it could make some sense there. So maybe like a Michael Misa or like a James Haggins, that could make some sense if you ask me. So if they want to get some help up front, uh that would make a lot of sense. Those guys will not be around most likely at number nine. Lucas Reichel, a former first round draft pick himself. He has potential to be a top six forward. Uh Nolan Allen’s, you know, a pretty solid player as well. You’re getting Bristo as a backup goalie and to make the salaries work also. But I think the winner of this deal, truthfully speaking, has to be the Blackhawks if you’re able to get um still stay in the first round number nine overall. You’re getting back Purka, who I guess you’re buying a little bit high on him, but this guy can help Bard out. That’s kind of what you have to do. You have to build around Connor Bard. And in this case, Buffalo kind of stays where they are. And Chicago takes a bit of a step ahead in my personal opinion. So, leave your thoughts down below. Thanks again for watching.
